I don't see anyone in that photo holding up a cell phone and recording or punching out a tweet in real time. How things have changed.
There are at least half a dozen recorders laying on the table and someone videotaping it. There certainly is an element of change that has nothing to do with Trump, but part of this is also having a President that can say anything at any time.
fair enough. the image in my mind was more about the tweets--and the instantaneous self-publishing of reporters' own thoughts and reactions in the absence of an editor's guiding hand and judgment. but good point about the recorders
You are also right that otherwise prudent people have incredible pressure to immediately respond and sometimes they either sensationalize or say things they would not have in the past with more time and another set of eyes discussing it. I will say, I wonder if we are now going to see all President's tweet while in office. While Trump has certainly received criticism and said some things damaging to himself, he also has found a way to keep his name constantly in the news cycle at all times and a way to keep his supporters energized.
Because that’s the deal they made. Nothing wrong with upholding your side of the deal. In fact, there is trust and honor in that. Next time Reuter wants a story and can only get it if they agree to some deal, they likely would be trusted to get the story. It’s silly that you think this as an example of enemy of the people, when you don’t realize or maybe you do but don’t care that the main pusher of actual fake anything and outright lies on a regular basis is your beloved POTUS. If fake and lies and propagand is the enemy of the people, than your beloved takes the cake.
Trump again shows his white supremacist true colors (or lack of thereof) Defending a woman who spreads hate for Muslims is not a dog whistle to the alt-right, it is the alt-right.
