This will help sway the Nobel folks in Trump's favor, I'm sure.

Read that last sentence again and ask why we, the United States, would be against such an institution--and one that we helped form.

The ICC is a direct descendent of the Nuremburg Trials. Justice Jackson's opening remarks are always a profound read, and unfortunately, way too applicable to the present for my liking. Just change a few words here and there...

Here's an audio recording of the first few minutes. I'm mildly surprised this is still available through the National Archives site.

I'm sure he'll just create his own Peas Prize, regardless.

Maybe Putin can present it to him...

two of those are questionable; one of the two is downright objectionable.

WIlson is questionable, but the League of Nations was at least a good idea.

Obama is objectionable. he won for being black.

Generally speaking, to win the prize you have to put in the work for like a lifetime. That's the last thing DJT is interested in. He is obsessed with getting the payoff rather than actually doing what it takes to deserve it. Trump's interest in peace extends just as far as to winning this prize, and when it helps him make a buck.

He won for not being the global chaos of his immediate predecessor.

correct. Obama's win was objectionable because he was a dilettante who had accomplished nothing at the time.

but he won for being black.
