Went there for 5 days this past December amongst other countries. We hit up Colombo, Kandy, Nuwara Ellis and Bentota in that order and then back to Colombo for our flight out. Beautiful place, some scenic views, great beaches and a nice country to just hang back amd relax.
It's a great place. The best, cleanest and most organized of the S. Asian countries. Been there before and after the tsunami. It is quite safe now as the Tamils were defeated in the war. It generally always was safe, but you would occasionally see military snipers on the rooftops of buildings and military checkpoints.
Any recommendations regarding those specific places? Any you really recommend? Any you recommend skipping?
