You can only keep 4. if you are thinking about long-term development, who do u keep? Jalen Green Josh Christopher Garuba KJ Martin KPJ TyTy Washington Tari Jabari Sengun
6 made it too easy. It wasn't hard to move on from Garuba, Tyty & Christopher. Should have made it 2 or 3.
Jalen Green Jabari Smith Jr. (The rest can stay or go) Alperen Sengun Kevin Porter Jr. Tari Eason KJ Martin TyTy Washington Josh Christopher Usman Garuba
5 is too easy…pick 2 or 3. Honestly that’s the most we could afford. Not to say you have to dump the rest immediately, but focus for the coaching staff is about eliminating distractions and trying to get the most out of a guy like Garuba right now is so low priority. I would dump them for future draft capital when you can. It’s not a fire sale, but we have more talent than we have people who can develop them - trade to teams with more development time and need for a solid bench guy and take the future draft picks so we can dip back in once we have Jalen, Jabari, and Sengun on their path.
It doesn't work like that. Some players just won't make the cut as nba rotation players and will either be cut or not picked up after rookie contract. Some will be dumped for minimal return like 2nd rd picks. Some will be really good but will be coveted by a trade partner. In the end you won't get to handpick the top guys and get good returns on the rest. You'll make 1 or 2 (or none) untouchable, take best offers on the rest, and many just won't make it.
that’s core right there. Trade and package the rest to move up in the draft! hell naw trash ass ball hoggin role players. Only player I’ll give a pass to is TyTy. The rest are garbage
yes I get that. A trade could present itself that would necessitate giving up some of our best prospects. But in a vacuum, who are our 4 best prospects? The guys you’d want to keep and develop if you could.
You draft first and focus on Wemby. In case we don't get Wemby: Green Sengun Jabari either Josh or Tari
