Torrents?

I leave my computer on all the time so don't worry.

Does it take a while to start uploading though? Still at 0kb/s

Yup. I upload everything I download. I've got around 300 downloaded torrents uploading right now. Well, not right now 'cause I'm like house sitting or some ****, but when I turn on my home PC that's what roll's.

I've never created a torrent for download, yet I've uploaded over 80 gigs there. Finding out how to become clever was nice, too. I was averaging 125 mbps uploaded a day before that, now I'm uploading over 2 GB's a day when I let the home PC run.

89.40 to 35.94 with a ratio of 2.488 kind of kicks ass there. I'll never be without music. Can't wait for the Holiday ratio free leach fest. w00t! :fistpump:

 

To become 'clever' you need to have a ratio of 2.0+ right?

 

Nope. To become clever you need to open up a port on your router for faster DL/UL.

It's pretty difficult to learn, but once you get it, you'll reap the rewards.

 

No being clever means that people can connect to you so they can download off you.

I've had a problem with being clever for weeks now, anyone here have ATT U-verse broadband? I want to know how to forward a port for At&T, I think they use the 2Wire Router Model 3800HGV-B. I'm using Utorrent, and when I test a port with U-torrent it says the port isn't open.

I want to be able to forward my port so I can raise my ratio, for some reason even if I leave the torrent open on oink for a week to seed, It still does not upload anything. I'm getting frustrated cuz right now my ratio sucks and I don't want to download anymore for fear of screwing up my ratio more.

So for anyone that knows, thanks in advance for the help.

 

It could be on a blacklist by Comcast. They can easily find out what you download and can put a filter on high bandwidth files.

People who don't encrypt their torrent transfers meet this problem.

 

Oh another thing I did check the portforward.com website, but they don't have the instruction for my router's model number.

I have a ratio of 68.274 on oink because of fun week.

I usually get in on these things at the end so I doubt they'll have it again.

 

I was fearing something like that. I've never gone to that site before, so I've never downloaded anything from there.

Help. On Azureus some of the files are Red and the say Status:Error:Incorrect Size and then the path to the folder on my computer. Wth?
