There is no prove that they wouldnt have been swept if they had Kawhi last year (more given that Kawhi wouldnt have been available to play) .

Kawhi is a better player than DeRozan but I think the coaching change of Nurse over Casey is a bigger factor. Nurse seems to be a better playoff coach with a willingness to make adjustments, while Casey seems to sink or swim with his established system.

I didn't mention anything about a scenario where Toronto would have fared better with Kawhi than DeRozan last year. My statement is that if DeRozan is feeling some type of way because Toronto's having success now and his Toronto's teams didn't because of LeBron then, well, he's in denial that he's not an elite player. Nurse is a very good coach but let's not kid ourselves here--Kawhi's performance in the playoffs carried Toronto to the Finals. If Masai never made that trade, I highly doubt Nurse/Toronto/DeMar could have gotten past Philly much less Milwaukee.

After all pep talk by the Spurs to hold Demar's fragile ego together, imagine him getting traded again.

    He might quit the NBA.

If Raptors finish this off, do you think Demar will want to be presented his ring in Toronto?

They should be fine since he faked an injury and quit on them after they spent years developing and protecting him win, lose or draw.

This is BS Kawhi is approaching the last year of his deal wtf would he want to fake an injury? Not only that Spurs were aiming to contend with LMA and a bunch of vets again wtf would he want to fake an injury? There has to be a motivation for doing something if you are gonna pretend to be injury prone which will hurt your stock there has to be a reason to do it other than ***** and giggles.

I give credit to the Spurs for being a 1st class org but they def mishandled Kawhi's case. That team was just so used to winning they took it for granted and made Kawhi a scapegoat.
