So im coming to Houston tonight because my buddy invited me to Top Golf.....honestly dont know anything about it. Looking for some insight.
Wait can be pretty long on the weekends as it gets pretty crowded, but they have a lot of different things you can do while you wait.
I'm headed to Top Golf tonight as well for a birthday party. I wonder if we know the same guy. Either way, if I see a tall, dark, bald guy with a headband and bad knees I'll come say hi to you.
Fun place. The waiter service has been rather crappy the two times I have been there, but I guess that shouldn't be surprising since they are a golf place first and a bar/restaurant second. Actually went there last Saturday and there was a 5 hour wait due to half of the place being rented out for a fundraiser. The other time I went was also on a Saturday and it was around an hour wait.
Awesome place, but super crowded. I prefer to go during the lunch hour on a work day since I'm really close to it. We've had a few "Team Meetings" there.
I think they always say there's a wait even when there are open spots. Kinda odd. A fun place overall.
Definitely pricey. $4 or so for a beer IIRC. Don't think I've had liquor there but I'd guess $6 minimum for a cocktail. If you go there to get drunk, you may leave with a pretty huge tab. The Golf is $40/hr, but that can be split among 6 people per bay. If the wait is long you can leave and come back - they text you when the bay is ready.
Top Golf is a cross between golf and darts. It's a three level driving range with scoring targets divided like a dart board at various distances. The longer targets count more. Eacn of the 30,000 golf balls has an individual RFID chip in that identifies points for every shot by every golfer. An automatic hi-def TV system posts the scores far all the players registered in each bay up to 6. It's not too expensive, it's a ton of fun, the food and drinks are top notch.
Other than the wait it sounds like a good time....It's only like an hour and a half from Beaumont so thats not to bad. If I can get my food and drinks in a somewhat timely fashion, it sounds like im gonna have a blast
Not much of a golfer so I probably wouldnt hit a target if my life depended on it but I still enjoy golf none the less.
