With all the trade talks, and other personnel moves I thought this would be a good time to create a light hearted post. So I am posting the question. Who are your top 5 favorite basketball players outside of the Houston Rockets. Here is the order of my list. Don't put Hakeem on any of these lists, I still consider him a Rocket.

    1) Tim Duncan- my quote says just why I like this guy so much
    2) Paul Pierce- starting to remind me of Drexler. Good post game, nice moves, and is in the shadow of other 2-gaurds (Bryant & McGrady) when he should be mentioned with them
    3) Allen Houston- big fan of his game and his shooting ability. Also with a name like Houston you can't go wrong.
    4) Chris Weber- I conisder him the next best versitile big man next to Duncan
    5) Steve Nash- Dude has hair... But seriously anyone that can bring the ball up the court and throw up three's like him and is not Jason Williams is definitly the man.

Houston, Webber, Nash???? I guess this must be a joke so, my answers are Van Horn, Fisher, Patterson, Langhi, and ...Collier!!!

My real answers are Kobe, T-Mac, Pierce, Duncan, Kidd. I wouldn't say Houston, cause he isn't even the best player on the Knicks...Webber is the biggest cry-baby, who let a point guard, and a back up point guard(Bibby & Jackson, respectively) play better than him in the biggest serious of his life. Walton said it best when he said that Webber got his numbers quietly, and just wasn't a Impact Player. And of course, Vescey calls him the "Fake Franchise Player", Nash is cool, but didn't show up when it counted. I put Kidd above him as well as Payton, Miller, Cassell, hell...even Moochie!!!

    2. B.Davis- does incredible stuff
    3. T-Mac- Unbelievable, talent. Needs some help though.
    4. Iverson- Plays his heart out, best small player in the game, hard to root against him
    5. Horry- wish we could have kept him. Hits Bigshot after Bigshot ultimate team player

    In no particular order:

Steve Nash - The guy is constantly running and plays with intensity (sometimes it can make you physically tired just watching him :p ).

Ben Wallace - Great defense is rare in the game these days.

Tim Duncan - A quiet humble warrior just like Hakeem used to be.

Baron Davis - A shoot first PG that actually plays intelligently.

Scott Pollard - (hey, the topic was about "favorite" not best players :D ) An example of how heart and hustle can make up for a lack of talent.
