I don't know if it has to be a 99er but the GARM has gotten out of hand for sure. I rarely go in there because the level of competency is pretty low when it comes to basketball. I am tired of inundated with knee jerk reaction threads after every game. There was a time I contributed more to the GARM but now I just read and dont' know what to write about since most will say the weirdest things.
I am growing weary of the attempt, but alas, it is awash with too many of the younger generation, who do not know what they do not know. DD
Because they were a LOT better, people used to discuss basketball and there was a lot less knee jerking going on...... It was a much tighter knit community, much more respect was shown to all members. It is not close to the same. DD

I proposed this earlier in an other thread. Make it to where you can't create a thread right after a game. This can give people the time to cool off and collect their thoughts instead of posting a "Bud sucks, trade him for Lebron" thread. We are all guilty of creating stupid threads every once in a while.
I mean people say that about everything. Their neighborhood....their favorite bar....their industry. It's just something old people say because they don't like change. Y'all are being nostalgic. I remember the past. It wasn't all that great. The topics Were just as knee jerk. It was ripping on Steve Francis and cutino. Same freaking conversations....same stupid threads. Same knee jerk reactions to each win and each loss. It was just less cluttered because there were fewer people. You know what you 1999's really bemoan? It's that no one cares about y'all except you. Y'all want respect but don't get it from this crop. They don't care you were posting 13 years ago. Why should they. I have been lurking here since 1997 before the bbs went up and didnt join for 3 years because i remember thinking there was a lot of homerism and threads thinking Francis and mobley were the best back court in the league. And it would change every game. The good info is still there. You look at the top threads in the farm and most of them are 5 stars. The garbage threads already filter down. Board is better than it ever was. Although I miss the Chinese fans.
You need to relax....and tonight take it easy and party more. So tonight just take that 9 to 5 stuff and leave on the shelf...and just enjoy yourself
