I am a brand loyalist and so the majority of my TV purchases have lived in the Sony Bravia range. Now, however, I need to buy somehting cheaper because it will be for my wife's parnets and not me. So what I am looking for is a solid quality TV from a real brand (no Vizio types) 32" LCD for two old people. I have looked a little myself but I don't really know what is best at a lower price point (sub $400). Any thoughts or, even better, good deals you guys know about?
I think all 32inch tvs are below $400 now. You don't need the 1080p for that small of a tv. LG, Samsung and Panasonic are good for that size.
This is one of the best tvs I know of. Any veira is great. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0039213XY/ref=asc_df_B0039213XY1492110?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&linkCode=asn&creative=395093&creativeASIN=B0039213XY&tag=cnet-3554-20 This one is more expensive if you want 1080p. http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-TC-L32U22-32-Inch-1080p-HDTV/dp/B00391Z83G/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1301936908&sr=1-4
I am not sure I would buy any TV, especially a smaller one, that did not have built in wireless and Netflix capability.
I own 3 Vizio HDTVs and they are excellent. I did a good bit of research before buying them a year or so ago and, at the time at least, they were by far the best combination of value and quality.
yeah I cannot believe Vizio is still looked upon as a bad name brand. I bought one when they first came out because they changed the price market so much on LCDs but their performance is great.
