I can't read and don't understand what numbers mean so I'll just assume Sam Houston is ranked number 1.

Note: this includes research which means it's not a undergraduate program ranking. Rice would be top 20 (and the highest ranked Texas school) if it was just undergraduate.

Yep. Glad to see UT did well on this. USNWR should not have the only say in university rankings. I know there are others, but too many rely on US News as the final word.

this is a pretty bs list. Their parameters for assessing this are piss poor.

UT is a great value for education. Unless you get scholly money from Rice, uT is by far the best value school in Texas.

The thing is undergrad doesn't really matter when it comes to rankings. Unless you went to super elite school like MIT or Harvard, etc, there is little difference in where you went to undergrad.

Has the tuition cost at Rice gone up dramatically?

Even though I am from Boston, Rice was one of schools I applied to when I was sending out my applications. I was accepted but I didn't go there because I got in other schools which were on higher on my list. I was very tempted though because their tuition was dirt cheap back then when compared to other private schools.
