Maybe ownership needs to develop some sort of app based check in system for these corporate seats?

There was a CF user who tried to give away his tickets to the Raptors game and no one took him up on it.
That’s why I made this thread, this is a culture issue, not a price issue; other than marquee match ups.

No more corporate seats in lower bowl....I’m sure those seats remain empty because tickets are given away and then no one shows.

You're absolutely right. What I do to get really cheap tickets is I wait outside the Toyota Center right close to 7 PM, and then a few minutes before that, I purchase the tickets on StubHub, they're deposited immediately into Flash Seats, and I walk into the building at 7 PM.

I got a seat in the 13th row of the lower prom once for $11 doing it that way.

There were 2 tickets for $6 each in the 1st row of the upper prom last night around 6:30 PM.

those same seats at MSG are $300-400 for a nothing game on a week night. Last Rockets game I saw there was the one a couple of years ago when Greg Smith got hurt. I think it was a Thursday and the Rockets were bad and the Knicks were worse. Doesn't stop rabid basketball fans though from buying overpriced tickets

So it can’t happen this season, obviously, but I feel like Tilman needs (and will) reconstruct the whole corporate experience and taking so many lower bowl seats.

Try and promote these corporations to fill up these “fine dining and secluded/private” areas. And him being in the hospitality industry (both casino and restaurant) he understands how to cater to the “whales”. Promote the seating change as an upgrade and the “new luxury game experience”

If you can remove half the corporate seats with fan seats that’s already a huge jump.

    As for us fans?

Show up on time. Even us CFers have been guilty of being late, it happens. That’s the simplest solution we can do.

The rockets continuing to win will do the rest. Just look to the Astros for proof. When it matters the place does come alive tho, it’s just the doldrums of the regular season that suffer

Maybe if the seats aren’t filled by half time they forfeit them to the equivalent of a the same seat in a upper bowl section. So upper bowl guys get to come down.

Or how about to fans that compete in a trivia contest held at Toyota Center using the same technology Buffalo Wild Wings uses. Top 2000 scores get free lower bowl season tickets....

    That's the conundrum isn't it?

People that get paid enough to buy lower bowl tickets are typically working when 7 rolls around, either on the phone or in the office.

If you lower the price so people that aren't working then can afford to go every game, you can't hire as many staff, and the experience is worse, making the tickets worth less.

It's a never ending cycle of depreciating value to cater to a need that clearly has little impact on the team's performance.

I just don't see it. Neither current Corperate ticket holders nor ownership benefit from lowering ticket prices.

Maybe we need a good old socialist uprising in the Toyota center?

Lol... I do this practically every game after half? You didn’t know you could do this? That pretty much stop checking tickets.

$20 first half upper bowl seat with lower bowl options midway through the 3rd

Buy tickets in the upper bowl and be one of the first in the arena. Go take your piss, tell the ushers it's your birthday and you wanna watch the players warm up, and go on Flashseats to see which seats in that section haven't sold. Sit there and act like they're yours. I've sat 5 rows up on countless occasions doing this.

A fan competition to get those seats would be a good way to get people excited. That seems like it’s on the right path.

Maybe the first X00 people get the chance to be in the competition so that way they’re encouraged to be there on time as well.

it has a lot to do with these corporations

it’s primarily sections 105-109 and 118-122 that remain empty all game...u could go there and have damn near the whole row to yourself at times

I mainly sit in section 101, and it is usually full...the lower bowl sections behind the basket on both ends of the court are usually filled up...the upper bowl is usually filled up

Tilman has got to put pressure on these corporations somehow

also, I’m not sure how much he can lower prices for a potential 60+ win team that has an MVP candidate and is in a major city, especially when selling the tickets isn’t the main issue, it’s people actually showing up

I mean, u can get lower bowl tickets for a decent price, they may not be center court right in front of the action, but it’s not like u have to drop 5 grand to get a seat in the lower bowl

There were $8 tickets last night. $20 bux got you at the centerline in the upper bowl. And the Pacers are a decent team.
