a smart business man would know that investing an extra 10-20 million dollars or so into the team salary could exponentially increase the chances of a championship... and that potential return on investment is FAR greater with more long-term profit potential than a 2nd round playoff flameout. just getting to the nba finals alone would allow for a recoup of all that extra money spent in just a handful of games.

when you have the best player in the nba in his prime.... you absolutely have to spend and maximize that window. just think about how r****ded clay bennett and okc must feel for penny-pinching james harden 5 million dollars in total contract money... but that's what tilman is essentially doing right now with all the LTS moves the past 2 seasons.

tilman has no idea how to run a competitive business. he may be a businessman, but he is not forward-thinking nor does he have the chance of succeeding in a competitive environment, whether it's the nba or in any other industry, with his mindset. if it weren't for the innovative minds of morey, harden, or even d'antoni... we'd be dead last right now in every category with tilman running the show.
