I'm not sure. Didn't we sign Earl Cureton just days before the playoffs a few years back? I just checked...Earl Cureton played in two games just before the 94 playoffs. So it seems you can sign a player just for the playoffs. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS Asking the question: What is more dangerous, an AK-47 or a scooter? Vaguely....didn't he help us win our championship in 94? ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
Yes he did....what a game 7 he played to win it for us! ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS Asking the question: What is more dangerous, an AK-47 or a scooter?
I thought that the deal w/ Starks was that since he was waived by the Bulls after the trade deadline, that he was screwed and couldn't sign w/ another team (i.e. Heat) for the playoffs. ------------------ I keep plugging away, but I just can't get a 3 way to work on realwife.com
forget cuttino mobley. john starks is the best 6th man in rocket history. ------------------ "i still fondly remember how the Chuckster threw a basketball at Shaq´s forehead, and then, after avoiding a blow by the behemot, proceeded to wrestle him to the ground like a sac of potatoes, while throwing a fair share of jabs at that big oaf´s ear." - Thanos ah the memories... Barkley was the man.
I found the answer. Your playoff roster can only include players signed by March 1st. (I don't know about injury replacements.) Starks' deal was after that deadline. He wanted to be released retroactively, and went to an arbitrator who said no. So, #34 would have to be signed by the Heat by March 1st. So sit him on the bench till feb 28th and then waive him ------------------ CUT Tino These Heaves are just getting Ridiculous!
Guys, can someone give me the exact date? Cause, i was wondering, is it possible for us to release Hakeem on the last day of the season so he can play with the Heat into the Playoffs? Wouldn't that be good for both sides? Unless the Rocks make the playoffs of course..... I wouldn't mind such a deal...Hakeem can help us as much as he can all season, then help the Heat in the Playoffs... wht do u guys think? ------------------
Remember John Starks? ------------------ I keep plugging away, but I just can't get a 3 way to work on realwife.com
trades cannot be made after the trade deadline by any team still in the playoffs. Dream would have to be waived, like Starks.
Don't let it happen again. ------------------ "Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is." -- Barbara Bush
So if Hakeem were waived a few days before the Playoffs started, he could play for the Heat in the playoffs if they signed him? ------------------
I say we wave him on March 2nd ha ha. ------------------ May I have another Snowball Clutch? Please may I? Ill be a good little mole.... I promise.
