You Republicans are hilarious.... Clinton the anti-Christ. (I remember seeing Impeach Clinton bumper stickers less than 6 months into his first 4 years in office) ------------------ The internet is about the free exchange and sale of other people's ideas. - Futurama
I mean, look at your list, for crying out loud. You've got the tax cut on there-- one that represents a major compromise from his initial proposal. Where was the compromise? From what I understand, to get from the $1.6 trillion promised tax cut over 10 years, they simply chopped off the last year. Now, many provisions in the tax cut expire in 9 years and thus it "only" costs $1.3 trillion. The funny thing is that tax cuts are always renewed so the reality is the tax cut really is still $1.6 trillion over 10 years. Amazing what creative math can do in Washington. ------------------ http://www.swirve.com ... more fun than a barrel full of monkeys and midgets.

Have they found the Swiss account that holds Jefford's DNC funneled payoff money yet? Any day now I'm sure. ------------------ The ox is slow but the Earth is patient.
Timing: The guy had real differences of opinion. Why don't you examine the record before you make sleazy innuendo? ------------------ A few years back on the Senate floor... No, Clinton is merely the Devil! ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils.
On the tax cut: Do you know how Bush initially designed the tax cut? He said "let's cut this much off of taxes" based on the GOOD ECONOMY EXPANSION VALUES, and chopped off that amount from taxes. he didn't look to see what we could afford; he didn't go through and look at unnecessary programs. He cut many good programs simply to fit his arbitrary numbers. And his fatal error: the economy is DRAGGING. We could only remotely afford that tax cut when the economy was enjoying rapid expansion. Now, there's no way the US can afford it. Hard times ahead... Fancy this! Newsweek has an entire section this week on Bush being far too conservative! After I read it, I'll post it. Just reveling in anticipation . ------------------ A few years back on the Senate floor... Phil Gramm: "If Democrats could, they'd tax the air we breathe." That's great. Maybe Newsweek should run for office. ------------------ The ox is slow but the Earth is patient.
