Wasn't a Al a great defender from Day 1? Even at Florida? That's how I remember it. He didn't become one; he always was one.

Yeah, he sure was. Sengun is not Al.

 

This thread title is biased and misleading, all this tweet says is he wants the flexibility of having bigs with different skill sets.

 

Which means Sengun is not the franchise player his fans thought he was. It's a blow to them lol.

 

I'd guess that he'll add a mobile shot blocker. In Boston, he'd play Robert Williams on one of the weaker offensive players on the opposing team and allow him to roam around and help all over the court. That was very successful in Boston and I could see him adding someone to play that role here.

 

He is better.

 

Deandre Jordan is an even worse defender than Jokic at this point

 

People are tripping over themselves trying to spin this, but it's clear that a defensive minded coach is looking for something other than Sengun at the 5. He was pretty honest about wanting something else and no one should be surprised when Sengun is moved this offseason to bring in that something else.
