Agree. Even Anthony Richardson doesn't want to be associated with that nickname. "While a nickname is only a nickname and 'AR-15' was simply a representation of my initials combined with my jersey number, it is important to me that my name and brand are no longer associated with the semi-automatic rifle that has been used in mass shootings, which I do not condone in any way or form."
Cool! You get to feel however you would like with nicknames. CJ had a nice game. Slinging it for 44 times as a rookie with no INTs is awesome. I dont think CJ was ever commanding the game the same way as AR and for a guy who was supposed to be 'inaccurate' he was better than advertised against a good JAX defense. Richardson showed how his wheels will impact games when you look at the context outside of the boxscores. Even with an INT Richardson had a +1 net rating over CJ. I would say BAL = JAX in terms of 'better teams' and its sort of preposterous to use that as a measuring stick week 1. I hope all the young QBs are able to shine in their own ways for their own respective teams. Trying to contain AR next week for our defense will be fascinating to watch.
Im cool with not calling him that now that I've read his stance on gun control. Awesome that a young kid with a podium offers that type of perspective among our current societal climate regarding gun ownership. I'll just call him AR from now on.
Geezers tend to feel threatened when young people "encroach on their rights". That you want to focus on his dick is telling into itself and for what? Political points? GTFOH.
Just Tony for Anthony; Dick for RICHARDson and the " for humor. All common nicknames. Personally, I think he should have embraced AR-15 instead of wimping out.
Isn't it just amazing what Deshaun can do with a real team? He may have just "*****" his way to a championship.
