The Sixers were making it a good series for a while, but as I expected, they are now just not able to contend with the Lakers. Shaq's killing them, he's just wearing them down. Kobe's sucking and the Lakers are still beating them soundly. This thing is going to end on Friday.

The only thing they're outclassed by is the officials. The furious Sixer run ended when Shaq took his shoulder right into Mutombo, leveled him, and got the dunk. How fitting.

Take away Larry Brown's C.O.Y. trophy. It was his flawed strategy that ended the ralley. Instead of fouling Shaq, who was shooting 50 percent, they first allowed a dunk, then two passes to wide open Laker assassins from behind the arc. This happened in a span of one minute. Instead of putting a McCullah or a Buford into the game to foul Shaq, Larry allowed the Sixers to stick to that flawed double/triple team strategy. That is why the Sixers will lose the title.

My only hope is that the Sixers will win on Friday for pride's sake.

Ah, cry about officials, coaching decisions, whatever, the bottom line is the Sixers magical run is over. They have finally come down to earth and faced reality. They simply can't hang with the Lakers. They pretty much looked defeated as a team in the closing seconds. The Sixers know they're out classed.

the sixers not guarding the three point shooters might have had a little to do with it too.

Well, I think that if any team could become the first to come back from a 3-1 deficit in the Finals, it could be Philly. They just have to take it one game at a time. They have proven that they can win in LA. So, assuming they get this home win, they would only have to take one game in LA to send it to a game 7. And we all know that game 7s are not ordinary games.

It all starts with tonight's game.

The Sixers are going to eventually lose in this series weather it's tonight or sometime in L.A. The bottome line is when the Sixers blew a chance to win in game three, they blew there chance of winning this series as far as I'm concerned. More than likey, this thing is going to end tonight. This thing about the Sixer's heart is just played out. If the Lakers come out and play the way they are capable, especially Shaq, there's nothing the Sixers can do but lose.

I'm betting (no money of course) that the Lakers have lost focus and will play lazy today. They assume they've got it wrapped up, especially with the blowout, and they've been partying in Philly. But the Sixers will still be playing hard and will take this game. Then the Lakers will win Game 6.

Come on ZRB, enough of the cliches! " IF any team could do it, they could", "just take it one game at a time", "In game 7, anything goes" do you honestly believe this or is it just blind hope? What do you base your hope on? The sixers have no answer for shaq. As of game one they have no answer for kobe. The lakers' shooters are back in rhythm. They've figured out philly's offensive scheme...And philly's defensive has suddenly hit the sh!ts. Oh but they could do it! Man why couldn't you ever be this optimistic about the rockets?

Um, of course it's blind hope. I can't give you any proof. I'm just hoping! Maybe Shaq will twist an ankle. Maybe all the Laker role players will start missing shots.

Maybe the Sixers role players will start making shots.

    I'm just hoping.

I hope Philly wins tonight, too, if for no other reason than it will prevent the Lakers from breaking the Rockets' consecutive road wins record in the playoffs, as well as preventing them from setting the best playoff record ever.

It's the 4th quarter now and the Lakers are up by 19. All I have to say is so long 2000-2001 NBA season. This series and this season are going to officially be over tonight. Sixers made a valient effort, but they were just no match. They're getting their butts handed to them.

They didn't get anything handed to them. They played hard, and barely lost three of the four losses in this series. Take away the devastating injuries, and they would have taken this.

Also, take away one of the worst officiated games I have ever seen, and this would be headed back to LA.

The Sixers were not blown out. They are not the pitiful Spurs, Kings, or Blazers.

ZRB, what are you, a Sixer's fan now, jeez. I was glad that the Sixers made this an interesting series and didn't roll over and get stomped on, but the bottom line is, they just didn't have what it took to beat the Lakers, even at full strentght. I still feel the Lakers didn't play as well as they did in the Western conference playoffs, and some of that may have something to do with the Sixers, but overall, the Lakers just wore them down. The Sixers deserve credit, but they were definitley not in the class of the Lakers. I mean people are saying what a great job the Sixers did and they lost the series 4-1.

This was such a boring series. The 76ers never had a chance. They were lucky to win a single game.

If the Lakers had half as many injuries as the Sixers did, they would have lost the series in a sweep.

Did you guys forget that two Sixer guards were playing with broken bones in their feet, while their best player may have been the most injured player in history? Did you forget that?

With all those injuries, a few ball bounces could have switched the series to a 4-1 Sixer win.

You guys must not have been watching the same series.

    Crash:

The first game went into overtime, with Philly making a marvelous comeback to win. The next two games were very close and decided by clutch shots from Fisher and Horry. Had those shots not gone down, we still woulda had a series now. The last two games weren't that great, but I dont think u can call this a boring series. But maybe your definition of boring is different than mine. [IMG]
