In the end i don't really see us getting Otto by moving all those contracts and pick/s...and other teams will probably offer expirings and better picks anyway.

Those numbers are mostly from him coming off the bench (Ariza/Green starting), in a unit where he is more featured to look to score. So it SHOWS when he is "aggressive and is featured" he can produce.

Would be a good pickup for them as a smallball PF. Better at spacing the floor than Favors, much better overall than Jae Crowder. I don't see him taking away minutes from Joe Ingles at SF.

Right, he only played 30+ mpg in 4 of those games.

I don't think he cares to play with Wall, either - who does I guess - so that's helped too.

now that Morey has officially stated that he's looking for an upgrade on the wing. i guess porter is not a bad one if we can only give up chriss, knight and a draft pick

Otto is on a 26 M contract. That's too much for the Rockets to swallow. He would be fine for 16M.

I’ve softened my stance on Porter. Used to be against it due to his nasty contract. Now I’m all about cutting the deadweight on our roster.

    MCW
    Nanu
    Zhou
    Melo

If we can do something like Knight/Chriss/filler and something reasonable draft pick wise, I’m willing to listen now. Either way, I hope the purge of useless roster players continues!

Just curious - - what's the DCers to do with 3 more guys than slots on their roster?

Honestly while I am still in support of Morey grabbing Porter, our team is so depleted right now that making a trade for a package of JayMichael Green and Temple from Memphis or Prince/Bazemore or Prince/Dedmon from ATL would be more ideal.

It's a pipe dream if you think Wizards are willing to give up Otto Porter without young assets. They are probably not interested in even taking EG and our multiple late first rounders for Otto.

If Morey acquired Porter now, next year everyone would be b****ing about how we need to get his albatross salary off the books. Then when Morey trades him for two useless players with smaller, more movable contracts, the whining would reach tornado-decibel levels.

Morey has a sign in his front yard that reads "Dear NBA GM's, 4 - 1st rounds picks, ICYMI"

I don't think they'll even trade Porter now. Those idiots are trying to make the playoffs.
