Nene. Literally. Well kinda. I know some of you don’t look to closely or even care about +/- numbers. But I think they matter a lot so I check them. Tonight out of the 10 guys that got minutes ... everyone was a net negative except Nene who was a +1. It was that lockdown peremiter D I tell ya. I think we found our KD stopper for the series. Hilario-us.
It was definitely Harden, who didn't "choke". Too bad the media and casual fans will continue to label him as a choker when we lose this series. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if Harden gives up by game 4 or 5 if he doesn't see us winning the series. This is why Harden always seems to play poorly in elimination games. He just gives up because he knows we can't win. At this rate, we're going to need both Lebron and Paul George in the off-season to have a chance against the Warriors.
The Spurs series was very much winnable last year....... several of their stars went injured. Dun tell me he got a bad concussion and knew the Spurs were too much, nobody knew back then. Spurs were better than this year but still old. He was gassed, tell the truth as it was.
The only positive tonight was...the Rockets had their mandatory loss per series. It was earlier than expected, granted it was versus the current champions. Rockets will regroup and respond with righteous, sustained fury.
