This is not good at all...if they keep losing like this they're going to draft a potential franchise player next summer, i would prefer to see them stay in play for a playoff spot -> and mediocre in the future.
I'd rather see them over preform in the regular season then lose the first two games in the playoffs when they were certain they would win, then get blown out and in the close out game play it super tight till the very end but lose to self inflicted error.
I agree with this, right here. If they are bad enough this year, they will land top 5 pick with fairly talented team.
I'd rather see them winning and having HCA after 67 games and then proceed to lose their last 15 games in an almighty collapse to end 8th spot

The field of playoff competitors in the West is already set – nine teams battling for eight spots. I don't see the Mavericks or the Wolves joining this group
I don't see any way that the Mavs aren't a bottom 5 team. THe list of teams who are worse than them is small and most of them in contrast to the Mavs actually have room for improvement. For example the Pelicans now that they got Holiday back and soon Tyreke. The Suns if some of their young talent improves. Even Philly has more room for improvement than the Mavs. But I think it's very likely they will trade their pick unless Carlisle gets out of there. He detests developing rookies. If they get a top 3 pick they will look into trading for Cousins or PG13 that's my opinion.
