Much ado about nothing. Nobody wants the war. The deal wasnt that great. Yall just like to complain about everything trump. Yall hate him so much that you root against the economy. I dont want to imagine yall's rooting interest in a war. This thread is already a little too pro-iran for my tastes.

Well, I wouldn't expect a trump supporter (or as you say, a "likely trump voter") to understand this, but people can disagree and criticize things trump says and does and not "root against the economy" or "root for war" or be "pro Iran". I could suggest the reverse... you are so pro-trump that you are ignoring his failed actions that are now escalating Iran's nuclear development.

Unless you considered yourself pro Iran when you criticized Obama for things he and his administration did (for example, negotiating a deal to delay Iran's nuclear program, a deal trump pulled out of).

All they want is sanction relief and to do busn with EU and others. After holding out one year for something from EU, they are doing the only logical thing left to have some leverage. Of course, it’s also a readily avail excuse for attacking Iran to “stop them from nuking us” by this admin. Iran figure the risk is well worth it... their economy is tanking and they are blaming the US for it. A military conflict with the US may even be politically advantages to the ruling party in Iran.

EU does want to provide relief but is blocked by the US. EU has also said the US is not offering anything for negotiation, so a backdoor exit strategy from escalation doesn’t even seem to exists.

Trump max pressure style is playing with fire. Even if he has no intention of military action, he surround himself with folks that are itching for one. Things can escalate to the point where the US has to simply act and if that happen and it escalate into a war, yes history will blame the US for it.

If Congress functioned correctly it would have been a treaty instead of an "agreement."

It's kinda of amazing how the whole world understands how the most powerful Individual on the planet is so heavily influenced by cable television pundits.

Will likely see oil spike given hedge funds/traders have been discounting the geopolitical risk premium over the last week

No, this whole confrontation is crazy and totally needless. Blowing up drones is one thing, but it'll be very hard to avoid catastrophe if anyone dies in these tit-for-tats.

Stupid move by Iran. Hopefully, the U.S. doesn't do something more stupid.
