Aaron Brooks and Kevin Martin of the Houston Rockets VS
Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis of the Golden State Warriers

Both backcourts can score at will...however, they give up points almost as much as they score it LOL (although Monta Ellis did a respectable job on Kobe)

Who is the best SCORING backcourt in the league? Ball

They may not be the best, but the Clipper backcourt of Baron Davis and Eric Gordon is very potent and versatile as both guys can both defend either the PG or SG positions...

i also like the Suns backcourt of Richardson and Nash...

    I'll take Durant-Westbrook.

Can't include Durant if we are defining backcourt as pg-sg. So it's really between Brooks-Martin, Curry-Ellis, or Nash-Richardson.

    Melo is a SF.

I thought Durant was a SF too.

I give it to curry and ellis. Probly just because they have the green light because they're the best players on their team. Brooks and Martin have to include scola in the offense as well. I'm pretty sure miami and the lakers backcourts are quite talented as well, strictly because of wade and kobe though.

Curry and ellis are better, but martin-brooksare on a team with more weapons(yao, scola) so less of the defensive focus is on them.

That's true. Yao has been drawing a lot of attention.

I would say it is pretty close but staying home on this one with Brooks/Martin.

Monta Ellis is killing his team. Too many bricks, too many turnovers. His stats per game just look good because of the ridiculous pace the Warriors play at... Brooks is much more efficient and an all-around better player.

And Curry obviously can't hold a candle to Martin, although he is still young so we'll have to wait and see how he develops.

And no, Kobe + scrub and Wade + scrub aren't better scoring combos than Brooks and Martin

Ellis scores more points, but Martin is loads more efficient.
