When millennials get jobs and have children they will move right. The goobers in charge now came from the flower power generation.
Very true, it's hard for people to stay liberal once they grow up and get some practical life experience. The naivete required for some liberal thinking is why it's always so popular among young people.
IS 2020 When the Next round of GerryMandering starts? How difficult will it be to cut the state up to ensure it says red? Rocket River
Once they get a true taste of life without that privilege . . .. they will run back to protect the privilege for themselves and their kids Those without privilege will either to try to continue on . . .or try to sell out and get them some privileges. The Waiting game has been happening since the civil war Rocket River
Naivete is hope unsullied by experience. "When you got nothing you have nothing to lose" Having a family is taking on the role of protector and provider, your personal preferences are compromised by your responsibilities. I think it is genetically encoded in most humans, as well as societally reinforced. And while it ensures propagation of the species, if your goal is happiness and peace of mind, I don't think fear and greed are a strategy for success. Fears are unending and greed is never satisfied. What is the point of life? How can anyone prescribe a course action without knowing the goal?
I also live in Montgomery County and had moved back here from Williamson County. Neither of those very well populated suburb counties are turning anything less than the reddest of reds anytime soon.
Not really, assuming that things are always going to go according the the old paradigm is where the goobers in charge now tend to be most spectacularly wrong.
As long as humanity progress forward. There are sure lapse here and there, but the trend has been great.
Sorry but I'll believe this when I see it. The Texas Republican Party would bring back slavery before allowing this state to go Democratic.
I don't care much about this state turning blue but I'll surely be here to troll the republican clutchfans when it happens.
I don't think it will happen in my lifetime. moving a little more toward the center and getting rid of some of the Ted Cruz's and Dan Patrick's would be a start.
Well all I can say is I live in Texas and will cancel out at least one bat**** crazy lefitst vote. Of course with the new ruling striking down the voter ID law, canceling out just one vote may not be enough. It is open season for election fraud.
