I sort of lost my passion for football when the Oilers left. "Houston Texans" just doesn't sound right. I'll watch them occassionally and follow them in the news, but I'll never be as passionate for the Texans as I am for the Rockets. Plus, being able to actually play basketball gives me a greater appreciation for hoops than for football. I definitely bleed Rockets red...
really?? i'm nuts about the Texans. they're the only team in town that i know for sure is busting ass everytime they take the field.
Went to a sports bar to watch the Texans while Major recorded the Rockets. Just a minute from the perfect sports weekend.
I think you need to experience both pain and joy with a team to be truely passionate about them. That only happens when a team is in the playoffs. Once the Texans have been around a little longer and has had some incredible wins or crushing defeats there will be a stronger tie to them. However, the Cowboys game last year is as close as it gets so far.
So now the Rockets aren't busting their ass. I know they make bone headed decisions, but not going all out. Besides, that, its only 16 games in football, and the players only play half of the games. Its only natural to maybe loaf at the start of game in the NBA when you're in Philly after just playing in Toronto the day before. Baseball is so slow I think its to hard to evaluate whether someone truly gave their all.
I dont know, man. I dont understand how you can't have a passion for the Texans. You can see future playoff success at the very least for sure with team. The offense is set so far, and defense will be set after next year's draft and we also get Drew Henson's pick. If your not watchin, start watchin now. By the way, i dont work for Texans.
I am with you Chip123456.. How can you not love them? The unis themselves are fcuking sweet. Not to mention the fact that after two years in this league, they can bicth slap any team on any given sundy. Go Texans!!
