Man, Rudi Johnson looks like an All-Star against us...

What is wrong w/ our defense against the run?

We are missing Walker and Payne. That would pretty much explain everything.

Payne might have been the MVP of our defense.

DD coming alive in the 2nd half. WOW.

Can't believe this guy is doing what he is doing.

exactly. we have no business being in the playoffs this. all that would do is hinder this team in the longrun. let's position ourselves for another high draft pick and go from there. we've shown we can compete (and beat) good teams. we'll be that much better w/ another year of solid picks.

    Another great game for Coleman...

I don't know about you guys, but If we use one draft pick on offense next year, it'll be one too many as far as I'm concerned.

The defense was horrible, the announcers were horrible, and the officials were horrible.

Although I am mildly dissapointed by the loss, the offense of the Texans in this one had me excited, and even more excited about the team next year. I would imagine in the offseason our main focus will be getting healthy and improving the defense. I suspect the Texans will draft lopsidedly in favor the D. Add in, if Payne and Walker get healthy and come back 100% they make a world of difference by themselves. Just imagine if we have a good draft and sprinkle in a FA here and there. This team could be something to look out for. I am REALLY looking forward to April with this Henson thing brewing.... 2 First Round stud defenders?
We'll have to wait and see..

    My Wishlist for the Texans:
    Miami DT - Vince Wilfork - #1 1st Rounder
Ohio State CB - Chris Gamble - #2 1st Rounder (Potentially Henson)
    Purdue S - Stuart Schweigert - #1 2nd Rounder

IMO, if we can somehow pull this out on draft day, all the other picks are just bonuses.

Oops, I forgot. Add Kansas City OT John Tait to the wishlist as a FA.

Defense was terrible. The pass rush is non-exsitent, thats the main problem with the Texans. They desperately need Walker and payne back. Dissapointing loss but I like what I saw out of the Offense. DD with another great game, maybe a few more and he can get into the ROY picture.

Isnt Champ Bailey a Free Agent? Another CB is needed badly.

I haven't read through this thread entirely and I missed the game, so I apologize if this is a question that has already been answered, but did Dominick Davis hurt himself again at all today? He got over 100 yards but only on 15 carries. Is there a reason they didn't give the ball to him more often?

Davis was fine. The Bengals had the ball for so long, especially in the 4th quarter. Davis had only a few yards at the half, but broke one run for 51 yards in the 3rd.

Dominick is so money. I love the guy. I wonder if the Texans will start looking to trade Hollings at some point if DD continues to show he is the better player. Obviously the Texans officials believed Hollings could turn into a feature back if he recovered, so there is value there, I think...but at the rate DD is going, Hollings may never get much of a chance to prove himself.

The Carolina Panthers fell apart not because they had their draft picks too low on the board but because they had too many old players on their team who retired or wore out and could not be replaced fast enough.

The Texans didn't manage to sign so many old timers to their defense. They went young almost exclusively. The Year-Two Panthers were an old team. The Year-Two Texans are quite young.

Those Dallas Cowboys fans are going to be so jealous of our draft pick this year.

Today was a case of Too Little Too Late IMO.

But entertaining either way. Can we beat Buffalo in Buffalo?

I hope so... I hope we can get another chance at 2 in a row.:(

Buffalo lost today, just like Cinci lost the week before we played them. It's easier to sneak up on a team after they've won.

Buffalo has no running game, so we may have a chance. It would be nice to win up there and exercise some demons from our past (that other football team that used to play here). If we get up 35-3 in the 3rd quarter, I don't think we'll blow it this time...
