Pff: Final Score Seattle Seahawks 37, Minnesota Vikings 30 SEATTLE SEAHAWKS Jadeveon Clowney had himself a good night, with his splashiest play coming on a goal-line stop where he beat fill-in left tackle Rashod Hill and tackled running back Alexander Mattison in the backfield for a loss. Clowney should finish reviews as one of Seattle's highest-graded players in the contest. But he wouldn't make a difference
No because he doesn't play for us but your posts are... never stop. I think a few hundred more might convince me but probably not.
Clowney must be back in school. All he puts up is grades, instead of actually numbers. Jacob Martin put up 1 1/2 sacks against the Pats.
Remember when you all thought Mercilus was going to have double digit sacks and make us forget Clowney because he had two good games? Yeah, good times. Stay on that Jacob Martin DPOY train.
Yet, Clowney has 3 WHOLE sacks on the season......LOL. 19 tackles, 4 FF, 1 INT.....and 1 TD. Ok....that's worth $100 million dollars...NOT.
Has the trade not worked out well for both teams? Seahawks got Clowney who has been good but not great. Texans got a young pass rusher with upside and talented young CB that has all of the physical skills and is currently a starting CB.
Last season against the Colts in the playoffs the Colts had 200 yards rushing and Luck wasn't sacked. Its not Clowney's fault but the Texans have decided to invest elsewhere. Shore up the offense and force teams to keep up. When O'Brien played defense and ran and made playoffs with Hoyer yall b****ed about that.
You keep bringing up trash points. You're the only one talking about $100 million. The only dollar amount that counts is the $8 million Texans are paying him to play for the Seahawks
Depends on what you mean by worked out. Are both teams in good shape. Sure. Doesn't mean the Texans wouldn't have been better with Clowney on this team. They probably would. But we don't know, cuz he isn't. Right? My main points about the trade are these: 1. The Texans didnt want Clowney here anymore regardless of money 2. They didnt get as much value as they could have The Texans win because they got rid of him and got something in return. The Seahawks win because they got a player that should have cost a 1st round pick for a 3rd round pick.
Russell Wilson is the best quarterback in the league and has been for years. He doesn't have a Hopkins. He does have Duane Brown but hasn't always. I like Seattle because of Wilson. I first saw him in the playoffs his rookie yr, he's everything Vick could have been. To offset his height he just drops back further but it helps his scrambling also. Dont mind talking Seahawks football Edit: Sorry, Wilson doesn't have Hopkins, Seattle scores 27 a game and Houston 24. Seattle wins because of offense.
You don't need stars on defense. When NE beat Seattle in the Superbowl, Belichick knew Carroll would call that play and had prepared his defense for it. Thats why Malcolm Butler looked like he knew the play because he did. Who the f is Malcolm Butler? The Texans will get better but im not comparing anyone to Belichick obviously
Debatable. Its hard to assess the trade initially since anything could happen during the duration of a year or so. But from quick initial look, we got boned in the trade just in terms of asset gained. Its also dumb that we had to pay half of the mans contract to play for an opposing team.
Clowney is a good player. Which is the Primary reason most here aren’t happy about the trade. We go through a horrible season to get the #1 pick and what do we have to show for it! A bunch of average NFL players.... On second thought, in a league that excels with quality depth, could we have two winners? Martin has been solid when he’s played and the 3rd round pick was flipped for the CB from the Raiders, who is playing some great CB... All in all, Seattle got themselves a pro bowler, we got some solid players. What this means is that Clowney is not worth what he thought he was going to make. Maybe Seattle gives him that type of contract. In the NFL, depth is vital to success!
I am still glad he is gone. He is still playing for the big payday, and after he gets it, he will limp off into oblivion.
