Lol... Clowney gets credit for a sack where it’s clear Dalton wast darting to the sideline. Reminds me of a game of tag!

I’m just pleased Clowney’s health held up for a few seasons. There was a legit thought that he may never get to the level of talent he was drafted, especially after the microscopic surgery on his knee?

    Ha.

JD really showed that QB -- will make him think twice about going for that no gain/step out of bounds next time.

Just wait until he does the same thing in a crucial situation, but only after the QB is out of bounds and he gets a 15 yd penalty.

Not bad for a guy without training camp and preseason

I have two polar opposite reactions:

    (1) too much bashing of JD in here. You can't get past the fact that he's a very solid defender. to do this with no training camp or preseason action is solid.

    (2) he's nonetheless with a good coach, decent team, decent defensive teammates, etc. I have no clue what the above really says - he beat his opponent in 6 out of 18 plays?? beat as in impacted the play meaningfully or just beat?? And if I read right, he still had one of his dumb-ass neutral zone infraction penalties - perhaps one of the dumbest penalties in all of sports if you are doing it regularly.

On the whole, it sounds like he had a very solid JD type game. Didn't stuff the stat sheet, but was disruptive nonetheless.

As I've said in other threads, I'd rather have JD and Tunsil.

I wonder, did Seattle coaches have to beg him to be slightly disruptive?

    This could be worth something.

We will all be tracking Clowney's career.
    We shall track his progress.

If Clowney plays tonight I think we win. He probably stops one of those big Kamara runs or gets a big sack or makes some kind of play that matters a ton in this.

Too bad the FO didn't try to convince him to stay and play and too bad the guys they got in return are basically buried on the depth chart.

Always good to give away Pro Bowl caliber players because your HC is petty.
Maybe he can pay Aaron Colvin to go away next?

He certainly wouldn't have made a difference tonight. Nope.

Honest question ... did the guys we traded him for even play last night ?

Trading clowney was less a football decision and more a “I don’t like this guy” move right ?

We could have kept him , had the capspace to do so ... and he wanted to stay here .

But we didn’t like his attitude ?

Good to see clowney playing as a hand in the dirt 4-3 DE again and not playing out of position like the Texans played him. You can see the burst and athleticism when he lines up in that 4 point stance.

I didn’t see them. If they played, they didn’t do anything. This trade still makes me mad! Did it cost them a game already? Maybe.

Jacob Martin credited with a tackle. Not sure if on defense or special teams.

Answer is #54 played 5 snaps. Mingo played 0. Great trade! Lets see how many attitude tackles and sacks come from those 2!!!! Clowney played 42 snaps by the way.

By the way the Texans are paying 7mil of the 15mil being paid to Clowney. That story isn't talked about enough. They paid for him to leave. Freaking IDIOT Obrien. I damn near want the team to go 2 and 14 just to see him get fired. I said almost!!!!

42 snaps in a career game for Andy Dalton. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing?

I dunno . I was asking . I figured there isn’t anyway they’d trade him just to get out of having to franchise him .
