Not even, man on 2nd will score more than 75% of the time with a single hit since the he already has a lead and knows how to read where the ball is being hit.
With the signing of two guards, are we positive that the Texans are keeping Jeff Allen? The dude still has like 2 years, $15 million left on his contract. But he's only got like $2.5 million left in guaranteed money, if I'm not mistaken. If they cut him now, they could save a good chunk of money, assuming they think they upgraded with the signings they've made so far.
Looks like we're adding solid/workman type inside players with versatility. I like that he played DL as a freshman in college and then was a starting LT/Team Captain his Jr/Sr years. http://www.espn.com/blog/houston-te...8-free-agency-zach-fulton-an-upgrade-at-guard Grade: B. The overhaul of the Texans' offensive line continued Wednesday with the addition of Kelemete. Kelemete was a part of the Saints’ line that led the NFL in yards per rush (4.7) and yards per pass attempt (8.1) last season, and the 27-year-old has a chance to compete for a starting spot in Houston. What it means: The Texans once again went for versatility by adding Kelemete, who spent time at all five offensive-line positions in his four seasons with the Saints. The Texans have now added guards Zach Fulton and Kelemete during free agency and have right guard Jeff Allen on the roster. Those three will compete for the two guard spots, but if Kelemete plays well during OTAs and training camp, the Texans will find a place for him somewhere on the line. Kelemete was Pro Football Focus’ 41st-ranked guard last season; Fulton ranked 14th. Both rated much higher than Allen (69th) or left guard Xavier Su'a-Filo (75th), who is an unrestricted free agent. What’s the risk: It’s hard to tell how much of a risk this is without knowing the terms of the contract; regardless, adding competition for the spots on the offensive line is a good thing for the Texans. Kelemete has stayed healthy throughout his career, missing just one game in the past three seasons while starting 22.
So if the season started today.. Davenport LT Fulton LG Martin C Osemele RG Seantrel RT I'd imagine. With Allen, Fuller, Quessenberry, Newton? as back ups. The interior looks solid and the Tackle positions would have big time upside but strictly upside at this stage. Cutting Allen does seem like an absolute no brainer.
Very reasonable. Just wondering about the: $500k in per game RB's in 18-20. Is that $500k per game total or yearly total roster bonus? If it's per game it seems like a lot. If it's yearly it seems like very little.
The numbers prior to it (salaries, signing bonus and roster bonus) add up to 10.5 million, so if it is a 12 million dollar contract, that leaves 1.5 million total, or 500k for each of the three years.
Aint's didn't want to lose him. Case and point. Team's gonna look really good on offense (if we stay healthy). Better run game/pass game.
