But if you multiple guys who can play multiple positions on a mediocre level, does that work better or worse than having guys that can play one position at an excellent level?
He and Fulton look like quality pass protectors at the very least. Glad that we don't have to watch Sua Filo give up multiple blow by's every game anymore. That guy just was not an NFL caliber offensive lineman. Bring on Pugh at tackle, EJ Gaines, and (pipedream) Honeybadger.
Tweet from @VeteranScout: These are some options I like in the 2018 NFL FA OL class: Top 5 OL (C-G-RT): Hubbard LG: Norwell, Kelemete, Pugh C: Richburg Tier 1 is Norwell. Tier 2 would probably be Pugh, Richburg, Hubbard. Tier 3 Kelemete, Lauvao, Fulton. Tier 4: Sullivan, Long, Solder, Evans Tweet from @VeteranScout: I want to see what Kelemete can do with an expanded role. At the minimum he’s a rotational piece with upside as a starter IMO. Filled in admirably this season when called upon.
So from the scout's list we got the 5th best lineman available and the top of "tier 3" guys as well as another tier 3 in Fulton. Would've liked to get in on Hubbard as he only got $37.5m over 5 years w $18m guaranteed. $7.5m per year is not much for a decent/good starting tackle. Oh and look down in "Tier 4" at Mr. "I got top of 'Tier 1' money"
Man on 2nd usually scores on a single. Or the man on first can get to 3rd on a hit by the 2nd single. @Nimo
Yaay more protection for watson now give me SUH and EJ gaines with another offensive linemen and i'll be very happy
