Terms were not disclosed. The 5-10 Allen spent four seasons with the Chicago Bears before joining the Texans, where he carried 155 times last season while setting career highs with 47 receptions for 302 yards. Allen's best season was 2000, when he rushed for 1,120 yards on 290 carries for the Bears. He played collegiately at Oklahoma and ran for 768 yards as a senior.
What for? He's too small to pick up the blitz. I mean, half of David Carr's sacks came from Allen not picking up the blitz or him getting bowled over en route to the sack.
he rushed for over 1000 for chicago 2 years ago, one of those one season flukes a lot of sports players have been having recently
Allen was the Texans best back at picking up the blitz last year. That being said Wells was horrible at it and Allen was only mediocre.
James Allen is a friend of mine, and I am glad he was offered a one year deal. You guys will be suprised what a little protection will do for you. Go Texans!!
