    Well, that's assuming they don't play at all again next week. But if they play another half of football again, I don't think rust would be any more of an issue than playing a full game. I agree it would be stupid if they don't play them at all.

    The Colts have been through enough to not be affected mentally by losing a game. It's just a matter of staying sharp, I think. I don't think playing another half today would have made them any sharper than not doing that. But who knows, really.

    The Saints have been falling apart for weeks now. They squeaked by Atlanta, and then lucked into a fluke win against Washington before losing the last two weeks. You could see the Dallas fiasco coming a mile away.

    But regardless, they are an example of trying your hardest all season and then falling apart. That's what the Colts are theoretically trying to avoid.

    assuming this kick is good and barring a Denver miracle, ala week 2 vs the Bengals, we basically need 2 of 3 teams to lose next week to make the playoffs:

    Broncos, Jets, Ravens

    is that correct?
