These have begun floating around the internet now.......... This is the way they should have gone. No team in the NFL has the Blue Helmet, Red jersey, white pants combo used. It would look very sharp and atleast make them a little different frome everyone else.........
And now McFarlane's toys adds to the fire............check this out. SUPER BOWL EXCLUSIVES ANNOUNCED Two Football Figures to be Offered at Event October 10, 2003 Not even halfway through the current National Football League season and we're already talking about the Super Bowl? Yep, it pays to plan ahead for one of the year's biggest sporting events. Last year, McFarlane Toys attended Super Bowl XXXVII in San Diego and offered two exclusive football action figures -- Junior Seau and LaDainian Tomlinson -- for sale. Response was immediate and chaotic. And we can't wait for the next one! This year, Super Bowl XXXVIII will be in Houston. Like last year, McFarlane Toys will be at the Topps Super Bowl XXXVIII Card Show at the NFL Experience at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, from Wednesday Jan. 28 to Sunday Feb. 1, 2004. The NFL Experience is an interactive theme park offering games, displays and entertainment attractions. There will also be many NFL players signing autographs. McFarlane Toys will again be selling exclusive action figures, which have become a major draw for fans attending the Card Show. The figures are: David Carr, Houston Texans QB, No. 8 Eddie George, Houston Oilers RB, No. 27 George will be in the powder blue retro Oilers uniform; Carr will be in a special Texans red third jersey. That's all we have for this week. As more information becomes available (figure price, quantities, booth numbers, photos, etc.) we'll share it here. Hope to see you in Houston. Link to story.......
I want them. I like the red jersey. I also wanted a red jersey after the colors and logo were unveiled and it became clear the Texans were going to have a red, white and blue color scheme.
Exactly...... for some reason Reebok, who is making all of the NFL teams gear, started printing these jersey's and selling them. At first, when I saw them, I thought they were part of the "fashion color" line of jersey's. But then the McFarlane toys and other leaks here and there kinda added to the fire that this is probably a new red altenate jersey who's details have yet to be released by the Texans. Besides, if you think about it, all of the "fashion color" line of jersey's Reebok have gone on to eventually hit the football field. The only exception so far is the Dolphins Navy jersey's. My bet is that these will be on the field some time soon.......... But in the meantime, just to give you a glimpse of the future, this is probably what the Texans would look like in the Red Alty's......
according to 610, the texans are going to unveil a new red uni(obviously this one) on tuesday in some fashion show. i know he said they will debut them in november, i think it was the first game that month.
They will be wearing the red jerseys on Nov. 2 against the Carolina Panthers. I thought the jerseys were going to be red when they unveiled the logo cause Uncle Bob said something about The Texans putting on battle red every time they took the field.
Some fans were wearing them at the game yesterday. They are very sharp. I wonder: will they wear them with the white or blue pants?
Try Champs or FootAction in Sharpstown Mall. They usually get all the new jerseys before the other malls in Houston.
Actually, I prefer the blue ones. These look as much like the Bucs jerseys as ours look like the Broncos. Just another ploy to get people to buy mulitple jerseys.
