LB Patrick Chukwurah and a female companion were robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night in southwest Houston, reports the Houston Chronicle. Chukwurah, signed by the Texans in March after playing last season with the Minnesota Vikings, and his girlfriend, were unharmed. The robbery occurred just before midnight at an apartment complex in the 11300 block of Richmond Avenue. Two armed suspects approached the woman sitting outside the apartment on the patio, with one grabbing her throat from behind, according to the police report. The woman complied with demands from the suspects, who asked whether there were any other people in the apartment. The four men rushed inside the apartment, pointed guns and ordered Chukwurah, 6-1 and 250 pounds, to get face down on the floor, the report said. Chukwurah was tied up and the apartment ransacked. The suspects took the woman to the vehicle and drove off before letting her out a back door near the apartment's exit gate. Police received a 911 call around 12:10 a.m.
