Thursday night at 7:20 PM Just wanted something here for us to post in. Obviously mods can delete or merge if they make the official one. Just hoping for a close game with some positive things to come away with (offense, etc).
We steal this one...chiefs hopefully on a super bowl hangover. Need a big game from David Johnson...and seal the victory.
Two QBs the Bears passed on Weaver said he's had a more attacking kind of defense so want to see what that is Cautiously optimistic about DJ and the other new weapons
Priority list: 1. Defense Defense Defense (what do we really have???) 2. Offensive Line (will they finally play up to the investment level??) 3. WR CORP (healthy - already dealing with soft tissue stuff SMH) 4. Will David Johnson give you what Carlos Hyde gave you? (hopefully more - WAY MORE) 4. Coaching (will the timeout blunders and clock management be a thing of the past? Will Tim Kelly and Anthony Weaver be liabilities??) 5. Special Teams (it was nice to have some average to good play from this unit, hopefully they dont regress) 6. Deshaun - least thing to worry about. I expect an MVP caliber season from him AGAIN.
Also I hope the overall product is good with having little to no fans and what not...it works for the NBA because it’s like really hyped up super glorified pick up game...but with football it’s totally different...so I just hope the overall product is good because I tried watching baseball and it was brutal I can not watch.
FINALLY!!! I'm already thinking we'll have a below average defense. Maybe 20-25 in ranking. So I'm not expecting much from them. Curious to see this offense though. Hopefully, we get to see Deshaun spread the wealth. Wish Hyde was still here. Especially since I don't think we'll get much from DJ but I hope I'm wrong. Really hope Tim Kelly is an attack OC. Hopefully we get 2 1k yard WRs this year...or even 3 800 yard WRs. But these guys will have to stay healthy Oline will be something to watch as someone mentioned above. We've invested alot into it, it needs to pay off right away. Not too worried about special teams. I don't think they cost us any games last year iirc but again I could be wrong.
How does it end? Aaron Colvin style, with a FG as clock goes to zero, or 2011 David Garrard/Clover Quin Fail Mary style?
I'm praying for this. With all the chirping they've done this offseason, talking 'bout not 5, not 6, not 7... We'll see. Would really, really like to see both the Johnsons get a ton of targets in the passing game.
Texans lost Reader, added no one of consequence on the D and now Conley is out. So an already terrible defense got worse and is playing the Chiefs. At least the offense should be entertaining. Chiefs 56 Texans 30
i'm just trying to figure out who to start. D. Johnson or Fuller. Fuller hasn't had great games against them but he's going to get fed the rock. Then again, so will DJ
