Don't see much in Denver... But I see even less in Texans... 27-10 L ... Mini Texans hype comes crashing back down into the dumps , where it should be ...
Really average. Honestly looking at their roster, they’re not overly impressive. They should be 4th in their division, unless Russ goes on a tear. But he doesn’t have the weapons he did in Seattle. Outside of Williams and maybe Sutton they’re meh on offense
They didn’t look average. They fumbled twice on the 1 yard line and kicked a 64 yard FG instead of going for 4th and 5 with a franchise QB. Easily should have had 30+ points and won handily despite letting Geno Smith torch them.
Still average, turnovers and poor coaching plays into looking bad and overall result. They were also playing a really bad team.
Honestly, I think both of you are both right...and wrong. Broncos might end up being average...but they also might be pretty good. First game of the season with a rookie HC and a brand-new QB playing in one of the hardest places to play and against an emotionally charged team / fanbase? There's too many factors to consider, to immediately judge Denver for what they are. Hackett didn't even play his regular starters in the preseason, so there might have been rust, there. Teams that show out during week 1 are usually going to be good, imo. Chiefs, Bills, etc. But it's not always the case that teams who start off like garbage, will continue to be so.
Agree. The odds of them fumbling on the 1 yard line twice, missing 2 or 3 field goals is just not gonna keep happening. They should have beat Seattle. They aren't mediocre at all. The only way we win is for our defense to force turnovers, and our running backs to ave more than 3 yards a carry.
