That’s fair analysis. If he didn’t have the baggage we’d all be stoked. Again, I say, I believe in DeMeco. If that guy believes in you, then I believe in you too. We’re all broken.

 

Mixon would have probably held out after the trade without a new contract considering the trade effectively takes away his opportunity to test the market after his release. If the deal is mostly guaranteed only for the first year, it makes sense for both sides.

 

A high character guy like Mixon would never hold out after getting traded.

I don’t think y’all realize how much of an upgrade this is from motor.

 

I love that he cares about football and loves playing as a pro and he wants to win. I love that he cares about being a captain and it’s clear football isn’t just a career to him.

I will say I find it funny he was the Bengals captain… following in a great line of recent captains.

He does have a lot of ability if he stays healthy and will be utilized well.

The extension tells me they expect him to put up big numbers.

Please don’t break the face of any women and don’t pull guns on people at red lights….. because he isn’t in Cincy anymore… he isn’t even in Texas, he is in Houston and people of all ethnicities pack heat and while they will give you the shirt off their back… you smash a woman’s face or pull a gun on another driver on the freeway and your head will look like scrambled eggs.

The way I look at it (aside from any off field stuff)

if he was a free agent this off-season, how would you feel about 3/27 with 13 guaranteed..

I like it, under 10 mil per, and can get out of it for only 13 mil total. For a 27yr old top 5-7 back I’ll take that all day, especially since other backs were getting 10-12 mil.

 

3-year extension = 3-body problem

Yep, and it says something that Mixon has been a captain the last three years in Cincy.
