Brewer played 28 minutes while Terry played 24 minutes. When did these 2 no defense bricker become our best bench player??? With this, NOThing you can expect but getting raped again and again.
JB jr is stuck on stupid when it comes to these 2. If they aren't on fire they give you absolutely zero.
Terry I can kinda understand. We're not exactly deep at the PG spot. But we have McDaniels as an option as a backup 2/3. The concern with him has always been his inability to shoot, but he can't possibly be worse than Brewer in that respect. And at least he's a pretty athletic player who may be able to D up and finish better than Brewer.
Well Brewer, like it or not, is probably one of the better transition guys or not. McDaniels and company easily can finish on a steal and fast break yet JBB still thinks Brewer good for gamble steal and fast break.
If we could get stops and get out in transition then Brewer could be helpful, but we don't so that negates his best skill. Terry isn't a good enough shooter anymore to have him and his defensive liabilities out on the court.
Brewer started today so he wasn't a bench player. Just clarifying, feel free to now ask why he's starting...it's the obvious question.
I just want to point out that we released, DID NOT TRADE THEM - but RELEASED. Lawson and Thornton - both had a chance to help this team - given minutes and a plan to implement them. WE RELEASED them!!! Leaving our team with this bench...... DD
Most NBA coaches would salivate in having those guys. The Rockets coaching staff is beyond repulsive. Thornton left because he felt betrayed and never came back after the deadline.
I like Beasley better than either lawson or Thornton... but doesnt matter when the idiot Bickerstaff only plays him 5 or 6 minutes...
Yeah, me too, I think Beasley was an excellent find - however, there are others we could jettison - for instance, if you are not going to sign TJones - let him go....but my choice would have been to release JSmoov. DD
The team brought in Lawson, a PG. Didn't change the offense to suit a real PG, but instead kept allowing Harden to iso. And then they release Lawson as if he was the problem when the real issue was the coaching staff had NO idea how to use him. This team is beyond frustrating.
I honestly did not get the Thornton move at all. He was maybe our best 3 point shooter. And, for a team that lives and dies by the 3, you release your best 3 point shooter. Sure...that makes sense. Even if his defense sucks, we need offense cause the rest of the team's defense pretty much sucks donkey balls anyway. Can someone explain to me why we got rid of Thornton? Did he butt heads with JB or something?
