If only Trump used those words when he was in Saudi Arabia last month, then ISIS would fall immediately and the Saudis would become a democracy. But that didn't happen. It wasn't Trumps's fault though...it was the liberals for electing a weak candidate.

    Crazy learn from crazy.

We are lucky that Mexico and the rest of Latin America, for all of their differences, share Christianity with the US and that they assimilate into American culture, albeit into the American lower class. Europe is doing the humanitarian thing in regards to its immigration policy, it's just that the bad apples it lets in do a lot more damage to their society than the bad hombres we let in.

We have to be sympathetic to the leanings of the people who don't blame Islam and see this for the geopolitical battle it is, rather than a holy war, but Europeans and, by a distant extension, Americans have to enact policies that protect themselves from these types of attacks.

On this board it's more like:

    1. Need more facts
    2. This is Obama's fault.
    3. It's still Obama fault
    4. It's Obama and all the liberals as well.
    5. They weren't racist and they weren't christian - these are mentally ill people. unless they are muslim, then they are just evil.

I'm not sure which is more depressing. The horrible incidents today in London, or this thread.

If you find this thread more depressing than 6 people getting getting killed from desperate radical Islamic attacks ... then I have no words for you. Its just sad and pathetic you would compare this thread to such a tragedy.

    Let's not jump to concl...

    Was it the Armenians?

This is the result of years of open borders and lax immigration policies

Its come to the point we have to label threads like these with dates so we don't confuse separate attacks on the same locations.

    Europe, open your eyes.

Very sad. Yet another horrible attack.

    Terrible. Thoughts a prayers.

It seems like law enforcement did a fantastic job limiting the casualties. We don't have all the facts or anything yet, but at least three terrorists armed with a van, and knives on a busy Saturday night, and the fatalities have been limited to 6. It's six too many, but it seems like it could have easily been much more.

How many of the people killed in London would have been saved by the Trump ban of all people of the Muslim religion from a list of countries? How many people of all of the recent terrorist attacks would have been saved?

But hey, what quote did conservatives like to post after major shootings in the past:

    But here we are...

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...-attacks-to-promote-his-own-muslim-travel-ban

    btw, Emmanuel never said that...

Only some of FranchiseBlade's laughable attempts at deflection over the years:

Will FranchiseBlade continue to quote his favorite site "loonwatch", which claims that 99.6 % of terror attacks are NOT committed by Muslims? Will FranchiseBlade continue to search for that Armenian or Greek who murdered innocent people on London bridge last night?

FranchiseBlade has to be one of the most delusional - or disingenuous - posters out there. Really out there, actually.

There used to be a time when people respected leaders who didn't cause panic to their citizens.

There is no pragmatic use in riling up citizens to fear every corner. This isn't the House of Cards Donald.

Khan didn't say "there is no reason to be alarmed" in this statement, as far as I can see, but he did say this previously:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...l-major-cities-new-york-bombing-a7322846.html

He also failed to address the motivation of the terrorists. Like all leftists, he avoids telling it like it is: Islam is at the root of these horrible attacks.

ATW, I will never understand the utility in your desires. Mayors and heads of states of nations will never criticize the religion of the second largest religion amongst their constituents. That just isn't going to happen.

Also, I know you are intelligent. Don't you see that groups like ISIS WANT Western leaders to push the narrative that we are at war with Islam? You have to see that.

    Here is a thought:

If these guys had been Neo-Nazis with Swastikas tattooed on their necks, and would have said "this is for Hitler" instead of "this is for Allah" (like the actual attackers did), do you think that Khan and the media would just say "we won't let the terrorists win" and talk about how "tragic" this is, or would they have discussed the motive, and would have made sure to condemn Nazism and xenophobia?

Well, why does this not happen here? The motive is the attackers' version of their belief in Islam. That is the common thread between the attacks in London now, the murders in Manchester, the attacks in London a few months ago (and so many more murders around the world). It's the elephant in the room. Pretending that that is not the case "to not alienate moderate Muslims" as Sadiq Khan himself said it is evidently not working.

A horrible ideology does not get better just because it has a lot of followers.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Islam unlike neo-Nazism has roughly around 99% of its 1.6 billion followers born into the religion. Neo-Nazism is based on a relatively recent ideology where the the vast majority of its adherents chose the ideology while politically conscious. Also, Islam unlike Nazism has been in existence for roughly 1300 years. That is 1300 years of the telephone game being played. I'm sure you have heard of the telephone game ATW. A group of children sit around a circle and the first child in the circle whispers a message to the child on their right and that same message is whispered repeatedly until the circle is complete and pretty much every time the message is completely different between the first and last child.

The combination of of having an overwhelming vast majority of Muslims being born into their religion and the religion having thousands of different types of interpretations results in millions upon millions of rather apathetic or benign Muslims who do not follow the Islam that you and I think of.

If someone is a self proclaimed neo-nazi, I KNOW they are a piece of ****. You just can't say that about Muslims and comparing the two is stupid and bigoted. ATW, with your intelligence, you should have already understood this. This is basic common sense. Keep on playing into their hands ATW. They want you to yell at your leaders to lambast Islam. They want the kaffir to hate them and isolate the European Muslim population.

And stating that 'it's not working' is foolish when you do not have enough variables to make that conclusion. It is statically indeterminate. You have more unkowns than equations.
