    No, I meant signing him for a maximum duration of not more than 3 years, so he'd expire at the same time Haywood would come off the cap. As for average annual value, maybe something like what David West got last year?

    David West got 10 million bucks a year.


    Landry will get MLE money. He'll be getting a pay CUT, not a raise.

    Landry is still only going to be 29 next year, and I could see him taking a short term, high AAV contract again over something like what Glen Davis got: 4/$25M, ala Caron Butler: 3/$24M.

    Is 3/$27M really seem that ridiculous? Sure it's an overpay, and I'd hate for the Rockets to ever touch that deal, but I estimate there will be a fair number of teams that will get frozen out of the FA market, and will have a decent amount of money to throw away. Outside of KG and Duncan, the top 3 unrestricted PFs are Humphries, Bass and Landry.
