I know I'm not the only person on the BBS laying down money on the Super Bowl. Where's the smart money flowing?? I use caribsports.com for my betting, but I'm sure many of you will make wagers with friends, family, etc for tomorrow's game. Let's hear your picks!!! Here are mine:

    Coin Toss:
Heads -115. Why not. I need to see the ending of at least one of my bets while still sober.

    First Team to score:
Raiders -145. Oakland has scored first in 14 of 18 games this season. Tampa bay in only 10 of 18.

First quarter scoring (who will score more points in the first quarter):
Raiders -1/2. TB averages only 3.7 points in the first quarter (their worst quarter), and Oakland's best defense is played in the first quarter (giving up 3.6 points).

Who will have more: Raiders points or Yao Ming points + rebs (vs Chicago)
Yao Ming +2.5 Need Yao to eat up the young Bulls.

Who will have more: Steve Francis points or Rich Gannon completions?
Francis points +2 Bucs secondary is stout.

    Raiders vs Bucs:
RAIDERS -3.5. Al Davis: "Just win it by 3.5, baby."

Back before the '88 TV contract, I would say that MOST of your picks had a shot,....But........

Before '88, ALL Super Bowls were blowouts, since then, close, if not nailbiters.

They want you, (at least in the last 5 years), to observe Brittany in every concievable postion! Since belly button is played out, this year, you will geek on Ozzy.

But, and most important for you, the Buc's will win by 6! (for said reasons, AND the fact that Al Davis had sued the league 5 times in the last 8 years! (He AIN'T gettin' any!)

You may as well bet on Pro Wrestling

To the the drones who think not, I have 788 pages of statistics, (covering 12 years) that say otherwise, (and 9 consectutive years of tax returns that are (minimum) 1/3 full of 1099-G income)

Don't mess w/ the bull Jr.

Tampa wins by 7. Defense beats offense every time.

    score Tampa 24 Raiders 17

I would love the score to be reversed!

I am in a squares pot and I have 7 for Tampa and 4 for Oakland. Great #'s. Payout is 200$ for the first 3 quarters and 400$ for the 4th.

I am rooting for Tampa, but I could care less if I can get the $$$. ;)

    Tampa Bay +4

    OAKLAND/TAMPA BAY UNDER 44

    Good 'prop' bets are:

Rich Gannon under 260 passing yards
Total sacks on game over 4.5

Yup that superior Titan defense beat the Rams' offense three years ago.

    Rocketman95,

Keep in mind that the Titans were 7.5 point underdogs in that game, and were only 1 yard away from winning the game straight up. Their defense is what kept them in the game.

I am very very happy right now.

The thing about over and under bets is you don't care who wins.....all I could think about was that commercial where the little boy is sitting with his dad and yelling TOUCHDOWN everytime anyone scored.

That was me...and now....I have a lot of money coming my way for free.

    :)
