Me and a few friends want to hoop regularly over the summer in Houston, but I can't find leagues. Does anyone have suggestions? Googled it and looked at the Y, but I didn't really see anything.

Ask paulftsk, he's Houston's finest baller. Sure he'll light up some of these scrub leagues this summer.

How competitive do you want? First baptist off I-10 across from marque has two leagues. Recreational and competitive. If you sign up for the competitive get you some height 6'5" at least and has to mix it up inside. Also Legends in Springs they got a league year around same tip about a big man applies.

I'm in a league at the Weekley YMCA and the competition is actually pretty good. The teams range from old, slow, and short to young, tall, and super athletic. My team is somewhere in the middle of the pack physically, but most of us played in high school so we still manage to be one of the top teams.

As far as I know the league runs year-round. Seasons are generally about 3 months long with about a week or two in between.

Champion Forest Baptist Church on Steubner Airline and Cypresswood has a good league in the summer. One open league and one 30+ league. I just checked their website...no info on the league posted yet but it's 2 months out still. They have 2 nice gyms there and it's a fun league to play in.

I play in that league, there is a lot of current and ex-college players in it. The teams fill up fast so make sure to sign up as soon as you can.

Check out GUS Leagues. I'm not sure what their schedule will be in the Summer, but they keep your stats and put them online. Plus, they have drink specials for hanging out after games.

Best league I have ever played in, the next league is starting in a couple of weeks so the following league may not start until July or so.

This looks awesome. I might try to put a team together. It would be around 40-60 per person. Anyone with high school level (or +) experience interested?

My friends that I already have, and I, are white, 5-10 to 6-1 guards. Taller friends desired.

I'd be interested I'm about 6'3/white. I played baseball/football in high school not bballl...I'm okay though play on 3-5 times a week at 24 hour fitness... best at rebounding/and put backs don't really need/want the ball outside...
