I'm at work and trying to use the watch live in market option through Astros.com that worked well for me last year, but I keep getting an error message now. Is anyone else having problems with the service? Any other reliable way to stream the game?
AT&T Sportsnet has their own app now, so those options are probably blocked. The stream has been pretty good so far.
Reddit streams have been amazing for the Rockets and now the Astros. I miss the DVR aspect occasionally but for the games I miss the 10 minute youtube game recaps are perfect.
Using the app and connecting through ATT Uverse and I keep getting a "PROGRAM NOT IN YOUR BILLING ZIP MARKET TERRITORY. PLEASE TRY PLAYING ALTERNATE PROGRAM" despite having the astros channel Is that really telling me that I don't live in Astros territory or am I misunderstanding it? For reference, I live in the woodlands and try to access it from downtown houston
Reddit has been my go to. I got tired of streams crapping out and figured $89 buck for the stros for the year was well worth it. My problem before I set up a VPN was blackouts considering I am in DFW.
Just be careful with opening links the pop ups can be tricky. Another reason I bought the Astros mlbtv package this year.
The great irony is that I'd gladly pay for the package, but I'm blacked out now that I live back in Houston. I don't really need a VPN hiding service for anything else, so I've been going with Reddit. When I wasn't in the blackout zone, I subscribed to mlb.tv every year.
Try living in Austin in an area where you can't get U-Verse (the only cable package in the city that carries ATT Sportsnet). I'm blacked out, have no options, want to give them my money to watch, but am told I can't.
Buy private internet access. I think it’s $75 for a year then but the Astros for $90 for the year. Beats $90 a month for cable.
Private internet access. It’s what I use. They don’t sell your information from my research and it has worked for my setup. I use the private internet access app with the mlb tv app on my firetv. It works via the computer on a web browser and other platforms like Apple TV from what I have read. I can only speak for what has worked for me.
