I keep feeling Nokia will do something but no.... Those options though are cheap. Obviously I'm wanting a spike but it's going to probably take a long time.... I still think there will be movement there. Especially as Huawei messes up, but even ERIC while doing better on movement/price - hasn't been able to capitalize like I was hoping. Then again it's been talked about forever how it will go up.

Anyone looking for plays like that still ? I think Nokia was mentioned since initial Huawei stuff back in 2018 and while it went up some before going back down it was never that much.

Looks like the stock tanked about a week ago after earnings and the CEO bought a chunk 2 days ago at under $9. Around 11:30am today "something" happened to get somebody or severalbodies excited... why, I have no idea, but I'm reporting this to the SEC. lol. jk. :D

I did read about the CEO before I bought. But I presumed it wouldn’t have that much of an effect. I went ahead and sold right after I posted lol

Thanks. Picked up some FCN as part of a longer macro bet. Oddly their stock did not go up much during the financial crash in 2008-2009.

Wth. lol. We have a pump-n-dumper here, guys! :D

I doubt the CEO shares would drive the price spike. And even so, why mid-day? No idea what's going on there.

Of course I realize that. There are plenty of scalpers out there that make profits.

Yea I have seen a lot of these comments lately on various forums/sites. Mostly from people who don't really know what they are doing based off of their post history. I guess they could just be trolling but sheesh, could you imagine doing that and then watching it evaporate over a week or month? Then they get pissed and actually sell at that loss. LOL. Some people shouldn't be in stocks at all.

Now that people can trade without commissions, buy fractional shares, use margins with just a simple questionnaire, etc. - it is turned into a casino in the markets.

Haha, my thoughts exactly. Especially on casino type mentality. It's so wild how easy it is on some brokers too - especially on the margin/even just options getting unlocked - "are you able to log into your account?" - "you're approved!!"

I mean the questions might as well present themselves like that, the questions I've seen you automatically know what to select and I'm honestly not even sure it matters on some sites and it's just a formality at this point.

I put most of that into FLIR which I made money in April/May and is 10$+ less a share than then. I want.

I’ll say again to people here buy NIO and LMND. Take profits in 2035 lol

I made an impulsive move and dumped 5k into Apple today...good move?

    currently have:

10 shares bought with using 5k out of my checking today.

    25 shares with my 401k

I was going to keep my shares I bought with 401k for long term and use the shares I bought today for a quick lick..I just hope I make money off this move! Trying to build up a big downpayment for a new vehicle..

Probably decent, but with lawsuit might cause slowdown, however with the 4-1 split and you making purchase ahead ex date you should be good... And if you hold long enough you will be good regardless. I'm by no means financial advice but I think it should be okay... But buying earlier would have been nice (but we all have those stories).

    That's a damn good question.

I'm good but salty about a couple of things, but really happy about a couple of things, so please ignore me.

    https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/08/14/heres-my-top-growth-stock-to-buy-right-now/

CrowdStrike's scalable business model is translating to significant operating leverage (the sensitivity of a co's operating income to increases in revenue) and
    robust free cash flow.

CrowdStrike's gross profit margin on its subscription business was 77% in fiscal Q1, up from 72% in the year-ago period. Strong revenue growth and operating leverage have helped drive trailing-12-month free cash flow of $116 million. But even this understates the company's momentum in this key cash flow metric,
which is defined as cash from operations less CapEx.

In the most recent quarter, which marked CrowdStrike's highest-revenue quarter yet, free cash flow
was $87 M, or 49% of revenue. This was up from negative $16 M in the year-ago quarter.

A lucrative business model, combined with CrowdStrike's rapidly growing top line, sets the stage for substantial profits over the next decade.

Making the opportunity particularly compelling is CrowdStrike's massive addressable market. Annual global cybersecurity spend today is around $173 billion, according to estimates by the Australian Cyber Security Growth Network. The market is estimated to grow to $270 billion by 2026.
While investors should plan for an inevitable deceleration from today's uncanny growth rates, CrowdStrike's momentum with customers today and
its large addressable market suggest that high growth rates are likely to persist throughout the 2020s. It wouldn't be surprising for CrowdStrike to
average 25% annualized revenue growth during the next 10 years.

Thanks for sharing the article. Was afraid that the chart was looking like a double top, but decided to initiate a small position; earnings is on 2nd Sep.
