I hate that you're probably right, but you're probably right. Damn the Spurs and damn Morris over Kawhi forever.

This is getting ridiculous. Evidently our team would be better (though not much better) if we were able to make a similar trade as OKC just did, sending Ryno, someone irrelevant like Troy William and/or Zhou Qi, and our 2020 1st (which arguably has similar value as Bull's 2018 second). Clearly that wasn't enough, so we had to let it be, once including Capela or Gordon would make us worse, imho.

But stating that OKC now has a better team just because of the "star count" makes no sense. By all measures, we had only one star last season, so how on earth were the Rockets the third best team is the association? There are stars whose skillsets translate to victories, just like our very own Harden and Paul. That's not the case with WB and Melo, so it's up to them to prove on the court they are the better team.

SAS would be the first one to say that Melo would make us worse, had we got him, I bet that. But he's now pretending Melo is "the key to a championship formula" in OKC, this guy's a moron. C'mom guys, it's just stupid.

I understand Melo's decline but i'm not going to sit here and act like nothings happened. Russ just came off an MVP season, they acquired Paul George in his prime, Melo & Patterson without even losing Adams.

I understand that's it's ridiculous to say they're the clear cut 2nd seed, it's also ridiculous to say they have no chance at the 2 seed because they have a bunch of ballhogs, I mean we literally flip out on people when they say something similair about CP3 not being able to work with Harden because there's only one ball.

I'm not mad we struck out on Melo (twice), I'm mad that he went to a OKC... for the people saying it's not worth it to give up Ariza & Gordon. I AGREE. However, that report was saying that that's what the Knicks were ASKING for, at the end of the day, it wasn't about what they were ASKING for, it was about beating OKC's deal & (opinion) I believe one of the two (Ariza or Gordon) added to the original deal would've been enough to beat OKC's deal, or may even get them to give up more. Lets just let bygones be bygones.

Can we please just be objective for once? Just like us, OKC can be a very, very good team next year.

I wish my brehs on CF's would at least let a 1/4 of the season play out before starting to sound like "Chicken Little"! ...:(

We have a hell of a team! A team that 90% of other cities would love to have and you guys are constantly doubting/criticising/throwing them under the bus!!

The reasons SAS is wrong... besides the fact that he's always wrong...
Is that is is clear as day that CP3 isn't the "biggest" loser this offseason.
In fact, potential finish wise, he was a winner. He is in a better situation now than he was when last season ended, unquestionably.

Did he want to play with Melo? Maybe. Did the Thunder have an amazing offseason? Absolutely.

But in a world where the Spurs did nothing, the Clippers got worse, the Jazz got worse, the Trailblazers did nothing, the Grizzlies did nothing... and that's just out west, obviously CP3 isn't the biggest loser.

I guess SAS is using the perspective that those other teams and their star players don't matter.... CP3 matters as a generational PG who has struggled to advance in the playoffs and is getting older.

Well... ok... I think the only reasonable way to say CP3 lost this offseason would be if you realized now that he could very easily be playing on the Cavs this year, in a trade for Kyrie. But that would have taken some seriously magically crystal ball knowledge since CP3 had some opt-in/opt-out decisions to make long before the Kyrie trade request/trade became obvious.

SAS, king of the hot take.

I'm sure that after we beat Golden State on opening night his narrative will quickly change and proclaim us the team to beat. That's just the kind of idiot he is though.

Okc could be a train wreck with those personalities and I wouldn't be surprised. Okc could also be a ****ing powerhouse and I wouldn't be surprised. Anxious to see what happens

#1 Gibson is gone and Patterson is in. That is at best a push for OKC.

#2 Anyone that thinks the Thunder don't have a chance at the second seed are not being truthful. They certainly have a chance; because they added Paul George in his prime. Although I would point out that George declined defensively last year. I suspect that he will bounce somewhat back.

#3 The Rockets didn't offer draft picks and did not offer Ariza OR Gordon in a deal for Anthony. There is a reason for that, Anthony has declined quite a bit, and the Rockets were worried he would exercise his 2018 option at $25,500,000.

How do most people here feel about Donovan as a coach? Do you think he can coach all three of them to work well together?

Let's be real here, at this point last season, who thought we were gonna be way better than the Thunder. Raise your hand please. It sure wasn't me, with Harden alone and Pringles as coach, I thought we were a 6th seed at best. I'm glad that I was very wrong and this year I'm not going to presume that I know how good these Rockets can be. So we will just have to see what happens.

Yep! 3 months of waiting for Melo to come here and we got nothing! This team better show up or Morey is going to learn to enjoy unemployment. We possibly could have gone safe and picked up Millsap..Gay... instead we waited for the Knicks... to not even give just a little.

    Stephen A is correct.

If you think Paul and Harden didn't feel let down over the weekend, you're clueless.

Let's just hope our guys stay healthy.

Well we know there's a certain superstar who doesn't feel strongly about his ability to coach.
