The top 3 guys on this roster in TS% are (not including guys that play garbage minutes)

    1. Bruno Fernando (6 points, TS 80%)
    2. Sengun (16 points, TS 62%)
    3. Green (24 points, TS 58%)

The bottom 3 guys on this roster in TS% are:
    1. Garrison Matthews (2 points, TS 35%)
    2. Josh Christopher (3 points, TS 37%)
    3. KJ Martin (8 points, TS 44%)
Matthews and Christopher haven't played enough minutes for their TS% to be useful, but at the same time, it's clear as day both of them are really struggling on the court and their TS% also reflects it. KJ Martin is also having a very slow start, a massive contrast to his pre-season performance. He is only shooting 27% from 3 so far on 4 attempts.

Fortunately, the guys that the Rockets would consider to be their priority (Green, Sengun) are performing really well, so that's really the key focus.

However, some pretty bad numbers that currently reflect the Rockets offense. Unassisted field goal made for most players have increased as a whole.
    1. 75% of KPJ's FGs are unassisted, up from 62% last season
    2. 60% of Green's FGs are unassisted, up from 48% last season
    3. 57% of Gordon's FGs are unassisted, up from 49% last season.
    4. 61% of Sengun's FGs are unassisted, up from 50% last season.
For Green and Sengun, their unassisted FGM% is naturally going to increase as they develop. As long as they are scoring at least league average efficiency (TS 56%), you can always accept this as part of the offense. However, the unassisted FGM% is currently want too high for KPJ (and Gordon to an extent), especially since he is well below league average in efficiency (TS 53%). His unassisted FGM% is higher than even James Harden right now (71%).

Whatever offense the Rockets are running right now, it's not working. Way too many isolations, and not enough ball movement.

No, because you'd have KPJ fans clamouring over the 4 of themselves to point out his stats mean he's a good PG.

    Great post.

The KPJ dribbling guys. Silas needs to put an end to it. He can be a great player, but we gotta change his shot profile some.

Hey, look. The guy who railed against Green for a season how found a new target. I’m sure you won’t embarrass yourself again, “sniper.”

Look what I found this should go over SPLENDID! Check out the isolation stats so far this year that has everyones panties in a bunch:

    https://www.nba.com/stats/players/isolation?dir=D&sort=POSS_PCT

It would seem that the "terrible" iso player KPJ actually delivers more PPP from that concept/frequency than players like Luka, Shai, Siakam and Anthony Edwards! Those guys suck!! KPJ is also drawing fouls on 27% of iso plays for 2nd in the NBA.

On a more serious note Jalen should get to iso MORE with his sexy 1.7 PPP from iso possessions which leads the entire NBA! Yay Stats! (after 4 games)

Yeah I gotta have fun with it. Seems that dudes here are wound too tight after 4 games and thats a record even for this place - there is still plenty of season to lose hope and happiness! Isolation seems to be the hot topic followed closely by "time of possession/dribbles" so it should be an enthralling debate! I can already hear it "so you think this is winning basketball huh are you a brain dead r****ded idiot or something?" :D:D:D:D

Slow start for the traditional power houses.

    Clippers are lurking close behind.

Portland, well, Lillard seems to be too solid for this weird azz era.

Stat: Garrison Mathews has attempted zero two-point shots in 51 minutes of court time (including zero two-point shooting fouls).

To some extent, shooting only threes is what he's there to do. But when he's shooting 20% on them it might be time to put the ball on the deck once or twice.
