Sweet, I was just wondering when the second part was coming out. Haven't played SCII in a while, maybe I'll play a game today.
Assuming the requirements are the same as they were for Starcraft 2: Minimum GFX: GeForce 7/8 Series or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB RAM CPU: Pentium 4 RAM: 1 GB Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit Almost any new computer you find will meet or exceed those requirements. Recommended GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2. RAM: 2 GB Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit Optimal GFX: Geforce 9000 or Radeon 3000 Series with 1 gig + RAM CPU: Core 2 Duo 3 GHz or Athlon X2 RAM: 2GB with DualChannel mode Really the processor and ram requirements are pretty easily eclipsed on most mid line computers, but you may need/want an improved graphics card over what most low to mid level retail computers offer. I haven't priced computer parts recently, but I would imagine you could easily put together something that would run the game at ultra settings with high frame rate for around $500-$600 or less, and one that would run it at medium or low settings for significantly less. Depends if you are building it/have someone build it for you, or looking to buy a pre-built retail model. Also this assumes desktop computer and not laptop, and doesn't include a monitor or accessories in the price outside of a cheap mouse and keyboard.
Video sucks Diamond lvl Zerg playing Bronze terrain Zerg is coming in from choke point and there is 15 tanks in siege mode (though the noob bronze terrain player seiged them late) and barely any damage caused? I call b/s Also why weren't the marines being micro'd around?? Just standing in a death wall wtf.. bronze league play. Is this the best blizzard could do? They have lost their attention to the finer details smh but why would the Viking land thus killing itself to fire on the Ultralisk???? The believability of this video is an utter failure and I am disappointed.
I may get it eventually, but never have been particularly good at micro, and don't have the desire to make time to practice it at this point to play seriously. teamliquid.net has good starcraft 2 coverage though for those interested though.
I love RTS type games yet can't get excited about futuristic space battle type games. They do nothing for me. On the other hand... Company of Heroes 2 is supposedly set to start closed beta any day now and I WILL be partaking in that. If you are unaware, CoH2 is a RTS strategy game set on the Eastern Front of WWII. I probably played 4-5000 games of the original CoH.
I love sc, and while no I have not gotten the ehart of the swarm.. I am definitly loving me some noob pwnage online (nothing like the new crop of noobs to beat for a new game release)
Just finished it. I have only played Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty. I wish I played the original Starcraft to better understand the link between Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan. I thought it was going to be hopeless commanding the Zerg. But it was. So. Good.
I played the comand and conquer games a lot especially Tiberian Sun....is starcraft like that and would I like it? I have a macbook pro about 2 years old would I also be able to run it?
Definitely yes to your first question. That's how I got into it. No idea about the second sorry. I know nothing about computer specs.
Ya, I'm a huge rts fan, but I never got inti the star craft series. Same thing with command and conquerer. I lived the old ones but bought one a few years ago and it was the biggest pos I've ever bought. Loved the age of empires series, and am a fan of COH.
