Ugliest game I can recall seeing. Duncan was 6-29 from the floor. Steve Smith 3-13. David Robinson 3-10. Bench combined to go 5-23. UGLY.

And Toronto shot 33.3% .... unreal.

BTW, so THAT is what Hakeem Olajuwon looks like injured, at the game and supporting his team on the bench.

Damnit, Clutch! Beat me to it! :)

    Raptors 80
    Spurs 74

and that is an OVERTIME score

These guys should have gotten teamster cards, they were tossing up so many bricks...They built the two story Victorian complete with three car garage, indoor swimming pool, guest house, AND fully stocked game room...

    Besides Duncan, Smith and Robinson:

    Antonio Daniels 2-9
    Tony Parker 1-6
    Malik Rose 1-6

    Alvin Williams 2-18
    Dell Curry 1-4

Hell, Dream could have come out there WITH a strained calf muscle and shot better from the field than most of the players...

Oh yeah, I forgot about that classy aspect of Hakeem.

I'm injured, so I won't come to the games.

Duncan was getting blocked all over the place, even getting blocked by some guy named Yogi Stewart. It was a nasty rejection too.

One note which may have had some effect on the Raptors performance, at least, was that for part of the 1st and all of the second half,( and OT) they were playing with only 7 players. They are now missing their starting SG,SF, and C, and 3 of their top 4 reserves...
In addition, Keon Clark, the only top reserve they had left, had 3 fouls in the 1st quarter...I actually think it was almost beyond belief that they managed to beat the Spurs...especially considering that it went to OT...

When's the last time Glen Rice was at a Rockets' game?

If he hasn't been showing up, that's just as bad as Hakeem.

I do see Mo Taylor at all of them though.

Wow. That's your comeback? Glen Rice should be at the games too. No question. However, Mo Taylor and Steve Francis (when injured) have been at games cheering the team on.

Keon Clark leads the league in fouls for playing good D.

I saw good piece of that game.

The scary thing was, both teams were getting some pretty good looks, and just flat out bricking. The defense was pretty good, but hardly could be considered the reason for the atrocious shooting. Something was seriously wrong.

Tons of ugly free throws, too. I think they need to check the rims and make sure they are all right, because NBA teams aren't supposed to shoot like that.

    Just to clarify --

There's no shame in getting blocked by Yogi Stewart. He's in the league for one reason and one reason only -- he's a shot blocking specialist. He's been injured the past few years, so nobody's heard of him. But the only year he was healthy, he averaged 2.4 blocks per game in only 22 minutes. This year he's averaging 3.84 blocks per 48 minutes and he wasn't healthy until last night. And look what he did.

Sorry, had to come to the defense of a fellow Cal alum. :)

Oh, and that game was horribly ugly. I found myself switching to Temptation Island 2 and the Shawshank Redemption more often than the game. Every time I flipped back to the game I saw a turnover or brick.

Comeback? Looks like a simple question to me. So we've got two vets (Rice and Olajuwon) who choose to stay home, and two young guys that choose to go to the games. You can throw Barkley in there too as someone who didn't always go to the games when he was hurt. In fact, wasn't he in studio with TNT sometimes instead of being on the bench in his last year? Basically, this is not a big deal.

As mentioned, its not that Hakeem, as a vet, chose not to attend Rockets games whilst injured, but rather that he IS attending Raptors games when injured. It is obvious to me that he didnt want to be here more than the team didnt want him.

He used the excuse that he should be getting more looks, etc, etc, but when all five starters are healthy he has got to be the 5th option offensively on that team. Plain and simple he just didnt want to be a Rocket anymore. Nothing wrong with that...it's his life.

Yeah. Hakeem was NOT at Rocket games last season when he was injured. That was Clutch's point, I believe.

Of course, there was a bigger issue with that last season. If memory serves (I'm getting old, I know) Hakeem claimed that he wasn't injured early last season, but the team put him on the IR anyway with a phantom injury.

JayZ -- major difference being of course that the Raptors are fighting for a top seed in the East, and play to a packed house. I could see how their games would be more exciting to attend.

Hakeem was there. He was sportin' a fine looking suit like 50% of the other Raptor players. LOL

You can really see the impact he's having on players like Keon Clark, Eric Montross and Yogi Stewart. They've never looked that good.
