South Carolina cop charged with murder in black man's death

Absolutely disturbing. Becoming all too common. Thankfully this one was recorded.

 

Wow this is the most how many times has this happen before.

 

Praying for the family of the victim.

This is pathetic.

 

Unbelievable. This guy should be fried.

 

The video looks pretty damning. You cannot do that. That is murder and the officer needs to be tried for murder like anyone else.

 

Not only is it murder, but also falsifying evidence for the murderer cop. Then the other cop drawing up fake reports too (accessory after the fact). Both claim to have tried CPR on the victim.

 

How long was the guy face down in handcuffs dead before they responded to him medically?

This goes beyond racial profiling, corruption or whatever. I would be afraid if I was ANY North Charleston resident

 

I'm sure this is the 1st and only time officers have falsified evidence

But being charged and being convicted are two different things. I'd be shocked if he's persecuted to the full extent of the law.

 

They never did, only claimed to have done it. The cop just shouted at a guy ue shot 8 times in the back to put his hands behind his back and left him face down while planting evidence.

The Thin Blue Line turns Cops into criminals but it's rarely caught. Instead, it's brotherhood, a camaraderie.

 

This was an execution. Been thinking about this since I saw it.

 

It is good that the cop is being charged for murder on this. But seriously, who here thinks he would have been charged for murder if some citizen with a camera did not happen to walk by at this moment and catch this on film? Anyone? Seriously, anyone?

And who here thinks the dirty cops getting caught doing this **** are the only one's doing it?

Put simply, a lot of the cop fatal shootings (about 1000 per year) that occur are murder, just like this case -- but the cops get away with it because there didn't happen to be someone filming it. We can't know the percentage, but we are living in a society where cops are committing murder (not to mention the brutalizing and framing they've been caught doing as well) and getting away with it.

Now we have to decide how to respond.

This could be a modern day Selma in terms of opening the eyes of Americans.

I hope so.

IMO this is a police problem more than a race problem. Yes I do believe minorities (such as myself) get the brunt of that problem at a higher rate than Caucasian folks. But the impunity we grant police officers to use unnecessary lethal force is the underlining problem.

 

A criminal with the badge. Minimum sentence: Life in prison without parole.
