I’ve heard the opposite about CP. He would chew you out in front of everybody but when the film showed it was his fault, he didn’t like hearing it.

Edit: I am not an insider but I do work for ad agencies and hear things from time to time.

 

CP3 had no problem pointing out another teammates mistake. That isn’t necessarily bad, but he would not stop pointing it out and would get passive aggressive about it.

Westbrook says his peace and then that is it. It is blunt and abrasive at times but once it is said he isn’t going to nag or get passive aggressive.

Neither Westbrook or Paul like having mistakes pointed out to them. That isn’t rare. Very, very few star players are receptive to it.

Harden for example is very defensive and dismissive when it is pointed out he screwed something up. However he does give it a second thought when he cools down and will discuss it. MDA is good at that with him.

 

Oh boy. Harden is notoriously passive aggressive. I hope he isn't going to sulk the Rockets into oblivion. Russ and Harden are bros, but they haven't played with each other for years. Russ playing with Harden now may come as a shock to him and is probably different than what he remembers in OKC.

Of all the things to worry about, I wouldn’t worry about that.

Harden has been injured for nearly a month and has struggled playing hurt. The team hasn’t really played well and Harden can really sulk when hurt or when the team loses.

Westbrook has stepped up on the court and off the court over the last 3 weeks.

I will say this... this group has played very hard for years and eventually there comes a point when a team is mentally tired, stale and questions it’s self. The Rockets are at that point. Westbrook is new to the group so it is a bit different from his perspective.... these players desperately want help and if LT wins the trade deadline, I could see them mail it in a bit. Make a good trade and they could be rejuvenated.

 

What a great relief that not only is Westbrook balling hard as a mf but he’s also being vocal and filling the much needed leadership role we’ve been lacking.
